Thanks once again for sharing your experiences guys.
If you're who I think you are, then you're welcome to see the F750 install in mine

Have you not had the discharge message then? As I was told that even that method still created the message :

Used to on firmware 1.06 after leaving the car for 2-3 days; essentially it never turned itself off.

Now with 1.15 it works fine, no messages in normal parking use, cam switches off after voltage drop or after 12 hours.

Kia went well - good old fashioned car with no trick electronics! Took me right back

I would be happy with 12 hours of parking time I reckon. It's mainly for when I leave it at work, which sometimes mean I have to park in random car parks.

This is the best price i have found for the 2 channel hard wired 32gb. F750.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2916222916...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

Does anyone know of one cheaper anywhere? Please share.

I haven't thrown in a cheeky offer yet though...

Seems like a decent price although I'd go with the 64gb version since its recording on two cameras.

I just bought direct from ThinkWare at £265 but looks like you'll be able to get it for £249 - unless you're cheeky and ask for a 64gb card in the package.

Keep in mind - do you want a cigarette light socket cable as well so you can put in another car? The 'hardwire version' doesn't include this which could be a pain, I use the cigarette cable quite a bit during install to line up etc. Separately it adds about £20 which is what your saving.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the heads up on the cig power lead, but i won't be swapping it between cars.
I have just bought the F750 2 channel but with a 32gb hard wired for £195 delivered. I may upgrade to the 64gb disc if i find the 32gb isn't enough later.
Thanks for all your help.
I may be asking for more when i come round to fitting it...

Was just in the right place when someone on RRSport.co.uk decided that they didn't want the one they'd just bought and decided to stick with their Blackvue. Seemed too good a price to let go. Will stick it in our soon to arrive GL.

Paid £265 all in for my one in the BM.

How long before these are offered as a factory option? They just seem a bit big and surely would be quite simple to build into the rear view mirror mount etc. Just have the camera there, and all the recording gubbins would be with the main computer lump. Eg the front thinkware 750 camera could be the same size as the rear if you had the electronics in a separate box.

I think my ideal camera (which probably doesn't exist) would be
- tiny actual camera so can mount super discreetly
- recording box separate to keep cameras small
- support separate battery (eg in the boot) so I can use parking mode for long periods without affecting main car battery

I know bmw offer a camera bigger than the Thinkware camera. Look in their accessories. The Mclaren LT675 has a built in to the front bumper as part of the track pack. But you are talking 270k.... Ouch!!!

I think any BMW approved system is going to cost a fortune - on the basis is it would need to pass their testing standards, which neither the Blackvue nor ThinkWare would for sure!
