I stuck a small amount on bitcoin through Blockchain 2 months ago, already made a 50% return so far. It'll never make any decent money though unless I put more into it, I did it more out of curiousity.

Thinking of putting some money on ether though.

I've never bought stocks so it's all new to me but may look into it a bit more, investing in it like a stock rather than buying seems an interesting idea.

If you're going to trade at decent volumes I'd advise to split it between multiple exchanges as you never know when the next MtGox will happen.
Ethereum is the only one I'm holding long term currently. I just play about day trading the others as they're so volatile you can make some decent gains.

My Bitcoin is up 25% in last 9 days, which is nice, though Ethereum and Ripple pretty much flat.

The problem now is that having made some money I'm thinking should I take some out and bank it or just add more in!

And I guess that's how bubbles happen... you can't resist the latter

Personally I'd take it out wait for it to drop and buy again. But having said that I have done that before and it carried on up. Profit is profit though.

I had a go when you 1st posted this and bought some Amazon shares, they made 50% in 48 hours and were cashed out automatically.
If I wanted to buy some to sit on for my Granddaughter I'm assuming Etoro isn't the correct place as I didn't notice that you could remove the upper earning to stop auto selling, or did I miss something.
Thanks again.
P.S. the others I tried have all lost so far but as I'm only playing with a few £100 then to me it's more of a game and I certainly wouldn't rely on this as investing.

I sometimes have £3.96 left over at the end of the month. What will that get me?

Quite intrigued by all this stuff so opened an account on eTuro - but only playing with virtual money so far.
I've copied a couple of people and gone for BTC, XRP and Ethereum. Only set it up a couple of days ago but making a small virtual profit on BTC (bitcoin). Ethereum seemed to have tanked since I "bought" some.

I'm too risk advise to be risking my own money - at the moment.
Especially as I've no idea what I'm really doing!

Just chuck a couple of hundred quid in.... it's not going to ruin Christmas if it tanks!

15 days in and I'm sitting on a decent profit, but mainly Bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin is doing well at the moment, might be worth a punt.

I'll be pretty pissed though if all these virtual trades I've done start earning a big profit!

I put a couple of hundred in XRP a couple of weeks ago, total newbie at this so I have absolutely no clue what I'm doing. Made about $6K in my virtual account and $3.75 in real money so far . Think I also noticed there is a $25 fixed fee for selling? As it stands I think I need XRP to go up by 15% just to break even. Been fun watching and hopefully learning a bit. Would like to put more in once I'm a bit more confident. Bitcoin has been the big earner in my virtual portfolio.

How's everyone doing with their Etoro accounts or crypto holdings then?

I'm comfortable with my approach now after a months playing around, so decided to drip feed money in each month.

I've been reading some interesting articles of late about where the Bitcoin price could get to, and it's much much higher than where it is now.

I splashed out on $200 of ethereum yesterday, only because that's the minimum amount on Etoro. I'm up $8

As of last night; £1182 up. Most of that is from Bitcoin (bought at £3239 and now at £6471 per coin (0.297BTC)) and my XRP is up £220 (bought at £0.1709p and has eventually pushed to £0.1835 after sitting at around £0.15-16 for weeks so pretty happy at the moment! Going to sit tight on XRP and hope next years predictions come true.

PS just switched over to Delta wallet. Simple lay out and is very configurable.

I've just left the virtual account running. Up 21% overall since I first started it. Not played with anything, just left it running.

Ethereum is the biggest earner and has gone up 50%.

Tell us more about Delta Wallet please. I was thinking to spread my investments safety.

So you've still not invested any of your own money yet?

Not as yet. Wanted to see what happens with some virtual investments. Probably a good idea if you've no idea what you are doing!?

But now of course, I wish I'd have put some cash in! But no idea how long to leave a trade running. Do you draw on it when it's giving a good return, or leave it and how it goes up even more?

How do you even learn about this stuff?!
