Interior Cleaning products

Hi all, I don't know much about cleaning the interiors or what products to use. I'm looking for something to clean the dash, interior plastics, leather seats and windows.

I've read few pages on the Cosmetic Maintenance page but some of the products they have mentioned are not available in the UK.

So far I've found Meguiar's Quik Interior Detailer and Aerospace 303 for Plastic interiors and dash. For leather seats, i have found Dr Leather wipes and yet to find a good glass cleaning products for windows. I'm not sure if these products are good enough to keep my car clean.

What products are you guys using? And do you have a better suggestion than the products i have listed?

Thanks in advance.

For leather, consider Gliptone and AutoGlym leather cleaners and conditioners.

Bilt Hamber for alloy wheels or if you want less mess, Autoglym alloy cleaner.
I would go with Aerospace 303 for interior plastics, any good class cleaner, for "wooden trim" I would use Tech Wax or similar to give it a rich glow.

There are hordes of good products for every conceivable surface, very few will receive universal acclamation from people, just avoid some of the American products which promise you one cloth and their miracle substance will cure all car surface ills - you know the kind that have little video booths in garden centres and the like promising you wonderful results with little to no effort.

I just use a bucket with hot water and a splash of Flash floor cleaner, seems to do the job well enough

On the forum someone recommended using dettol wipes on the steering wheel to retain the Matt finish/look

Tried it a few times and it works wonders!

It's funny, I have bought all sorts of products in the past, nothing compared to the more enthusiastic detailers on here, but I often find that I go back to Flash (or similar) and it is fine.

I used Gtechniq I2 Tri-Clean Interior for the first time at the weekend, it gave a great Matt finish and the car smelt like new. Can't rate it enough.

Meguiars Ultimate Quick Wax or the Synthetic X-Press stuff is meant to be really good too for "everywhere".

I find the bmw leather cleaner is good for the seats.

I’m another fan of Dettol wipes or Dettol spray with a wet microfibre cloth. Works well!

My approach is cleaning often to keep on top of it and my kids aren’t allowed to eat in the car!!!

Baby wipes are also good for this and are slightly kinder on the leather; due to being kinder on a baby’s arse!

I use Autogym Fast Glass for interior plastics. It keeps that nice matt effect.

Agree with this. Is it menthol scented? I can't quite work it out. Fresh as anything though and good cleaning power.

303 is excellent. Also great for your engine plastics (If you're a real geek like me).

Dr Leather wipes also an excellent choice. The same bucket has lasted me for a few years. I do the seats, then use the used wipes to door Some of the floor/seat plastics and door shuts.

I also use Gtechniq Matt Dash for the dash etc.

For glass- dodo juice menthol, gtechniq fast glass both great
