The only surprise is E60 is way better than E39, the latter received more praises. |

It did, but ultimately it was unrefined like the E60. And let me not start on all the mechanical issues and rust issues from the factory which required new hood and quarter panel around the fuel fill. My E60 has minimal rattles to this day at 155,000 as compared to my F30 at 40,000 miles. mind boggling.

Hmm interesting. I had an E82 before the F30 and I found the rattles were similar. Only have minimal door sill rattle on driver's side of F30. That's it. Otherwise solid.

My 2011 Genesis Coupe had ~25,000 when I traded it in so ~4200 on that. Had my 440 since August and did ~1900 since. At this rate I'll be at ~2850 a year. Commute to work is 2 miles one way and most shops I need to go to are within 3 miles as well.

Wow! How many miles on your car now? If you have a detailed record of the maintenance/repair issues that came along the way, would love to see them. Perhaps you could start a separate thread cataloging them so that others like me can get a handle on what to expect as the miles rack up on our cars. I plan to keep mine for several more years.

I purchased also (collection. this Thursday). will be doing about 28000 miles per year (45000 Kms) and prefer to do it in a 318d than in a Octavia or Golf. live close to Nürburgring and will drive daily to Luxembourg. just. using it for what it was made, driving. my other car is a Mini JCW GP from 2006.

Last year I did around 7k kilometers, which is around 4.3k miles, I guess? I live very close to work, so that hardly puts any kilometers on the dial.
