Finally!!! Got my APW F32!!!
Hello all,
A formal introduction is in order since I'm now back in the club. Back in a BMW in almost 20 years... had a 1999 e39 that I've been rid of for 12 years. Ok so, after wanting an A5 for my next car a couple years ago I spotted a black 428i on the freeway at dusk one night a couple years ago and it was just mesmerizing...the sleek yet wide body shape, the lines, the lights....I was hooked. The A5 was off the list , my next car was now a 4 series. So I started researching a bit and this was the first place I came....then I saw this pic and was sold I started looking daily on autotrader, cars.com , cargurus, etc....was looking for a nicely used 428i had to be white and had to be M-sport. Would like the red interior, but when the right one popped up as long as it was white with m-sport I was good. Well, the other day I saw an ad for 2015 at a BMW dealership in Arizona who were having a construction sale as they were completely remodeling their dealership ... an Alpine White on black CPO with only 9,145 miles Called them up right away as I knew I had to move fast, the good ones only last day or two ...after some back and forth they were nice enough to take it off the market for the day while I decided(talking wifey into a 4th car) they told me they could ship it to me for $300, but call me crazy, I like to see things with my own eyes before I hand over almost $30k... so after deciding this is "the one" the next morning I called my father in law(who said the day before he would drive out there with me, so he could drive my car back home for me) and we made our way out to Phoenix to check it out....I must say I was still a bit hesitant that morning and on the drive out there, but when we finally arrived at the dealership(which was temporarily across the street from the actual dealership that really was under construction) and I saw how unbelievably perfect the car was, all that angst and trepidation quickly vanished, she was flawless After wiping my drool, we took quick test and went in to write a check.... they had a cool incentive going right now that if you qualified and went with BMW financial (who btw, had the best rates anyways at 2.49) BMW will make the first two payments for you up to $1000.... so my first payment won't even be due til like June!!! They were great and I was out of there within about an hour and on my way back to So Cal in what felt like a stolen car car came with all the books and records and even the original window sticker....basically I got what felt like a brand new car for almost half price big thanks to Chapman BMW in Phoenix What a comfortable yet very exciting ride home it was..... Plan on doing some light mods, but nothing crazy as the wife and I share most of our cars(except my NSX, cuz she doesn't drive stick thank god)so the mods will be subtle (wheels, lower, maybe a jb4 shhhhh ) Look forward to being part of this community and meeting some of the So Cal groups soon....Any sites for goodies and shop recommendations are very much welcome !!! Here is some of the pics, one when I first saw her at the dealership and most form the morning after getting home late from picking her up. 2015 alpine white on black 428i with M-sport/ Tech package 8/AT Last edited by SoCal_NSX; 03-16-2018 at 03:48 PM.. |

Nice! Got my friend to bite on a 428 even though he was hesitant as he was used to Japanese cars and was scared of the horrid maintenance costs. Now, after half a year he's still drooling and a bit regretful that he didn't bite on the 435 despite my protest time and time again. Haha all good though. He loves it and I know you will too. Great steal if you got a 428 9k miles CPO at $3X,XXX!

I looked at a lot of cars the last several months and this one was by far the best deal I have seen and just couldn’t pass this one up! I’ll post some better pics soon with some NSX in it. Sneak peek Last edited by SoCal_NSX; 03-15-2018 at 10:27 AM.. |

thanks! yes, it is a manual ..... got to be on those cars!!! thanks! Good eye and good question..... dealer said it that sometimes the leasee swaps them out and and long as they are bmw wheels with same specs they will allow it....said he could swap them out for me for the original 400m that were on original window but it might take a few weeks if I was willing to drive back out there...I still might. Not too worried about it though since it was certified and had the cleanest car fax and highest scrore on auto-check that I have seen on any car I have been looking at in months....plan on swapping out the wheels asap as one of my first mods anyways. The 397 are growing on me though. |
