idrive temporarily not working..
8 Months faultless driving and got in the car just now and the idrive (no nav, radio, telephone etc) was off and would not start up. I thought a fuse might have gone.
Went to the gym, came back and all back and working again! Anyone experienced that before? |

3 months old and mine's randomly gone off and then rebooted - twice. This was whilst driving along.
Loose wire?

Mine crashed after a day or two of owning the car. I pressed in the on/off button for 30 secs to reboot the idrive system and no problems since

I've had the same scenario as @PurpleTT where the idrive crashes randomly. I can usually tell it's about to crash as the music I'm listening to will start to go crackly a few minutes before it crashes.
I took mine into the dealership a couple of weeks ago and apparently BMW Technical know about this problem and are working on a fix as they believe it to be software related. I'm not holding my breath on an easy fix mind you....
