Picking up 328 EB MSport
I'm scheduled to pick up my 328 EB MSport this Sat!! Very exciting after such a long wait! Such a shame that I'm going on a business trip overseas next week and won't be able to spend a lot of time with the car!
Anyone has any tips on the things to look out for when taking delivery of the car? Finally got back to the country... here is a few photos of the car! Last edited by CrazyLatte; 11-03-2012 at 06:02 AM.. Reason: photo attached |

Without enhanced connectivity you need a Y cable. With enhanced connectivity, you can just use the apple cable. My sales guy gave me a Y cable even though I have enhanced connectivity. Clearly he didn't know what was going on either. J1n, if you still need one let me know.

Grats to David and Crazy on their EB M sports.. saw one on the dealer floor with the active cruise control radar on the front grill, you would think they would hide it behind the grill.. the piano black finish on the side mirrors is AMAZING ! gorgeous car you both have

I'm sure the car will be just fine. Do a visual inspection and off you go. Once the tyres and brakes are bedded in drive it how you're going to drive it! Oh, and watch for the exhaust diarrhoea on your bumper, seems to be a 328i thing (there's a post in the N20 subforum about it). It's just carbon that wipes off. |

Hey Dabaitu... I've been taking note of this exhaust residue.. till date I've washed my car at least 3 times now due to the rainy weather but I haven't seen close to any residue. Then again i'm only at 700km's .. Any one else can provide their feedback?
Using BP ultimate petrol not sure if it matters |

Nothing on my car. Only 430kms. I will check again tomorrow. Still on my 1st tank filled to the brim by my dealer.

I've done about 1600 kms so far and haven't noticed any carbon build up, but then again I've got grey, so maybe less noticeable? I've noticed my fuel economy slightly getting better too, I was over 10.5 ltrs/100kms, it's slowly edged down to 10.2
What I have noticed is some rattling coming from the centre roof light, and by pushing it up every so often it goes away, has anyone else noticed this with their f30? |

So CrazyLatte, am I right or am I right? Huh? The colour. It's MAGNIFICENT. The package is just fantastic. The way the designers & engineers have come together & created a true masterpiece. I just stop and stare at my car every time I approach it - from any angle.
I've said it before, I will say it now and I will say it again - the DRLs are the best in the business - bar none! Update on soot or lack there of. Around 650 kms now, thankfully without soot. Starting to give the car a little more push. Really starting to feel it breathe. It will take a little time till the fuel economy settles, but I'm not fussed. ij05, no rattles from my car. Enjoy your car Crazy.
