AC Shnitzer ECU vs JB4?
Hey guys,
I am planning for some major upgrades to my 435i X-Drive in the summer, which do you recommend the AC Shnitzer 60bhp gain or the JB4 (Not sure which stage, I always get lost) and which would be a safer choice (no blown engine surprises)? I am also planning on getting the CG Precision VS-1 exhaust and the BMS air filter. Would my car be able to deal with all of that power or would it break down due to amount of pressure engine placed under? Thanks and sorry for lengthy post.

Id go MPPK and that exhaust and maybe BMC filter not bms, i don't see gains from bms intake but i see lose but maybe due to our hot weather!

BMS has dyno sheets showing 11hp gains. I'd expect even higher with tuning. If you aren't seeing them, theres something wrong with your tune or gas.
As far as JB4 vs Schnitzer, I wouldn't touch AC with a 10 foot pole. They're stupidly overpriced, and if people buy from them they get the idea that its okay to overcharge. If people don't, they have 2 choices, lower their prices, or go out of business. I don't play these German tuners' games. Either charge a fair price or go to hell. I would pick the Jb4 (even though we sell both) .
Jb4 gives you more power, more support, free upgrade and it is a lot cheaper

I have to take the same decision like the thread starter.
What is the engine HP output on the JB4 with a totaly stock car? If i have OEM 306PS what would a dyno chart show with the JB4 ? Are there any dynos with the Schnitzer Box? |

If you at some point later on want more power you should go for the JB4 due to it's possibilities. /Krelle

we all want to move but its our home we can't leave it and buy another one , we need to fix stuff rather than leaving.. my next car probably won't be turbo charged lol GT3 911 ?Corvette? nobody knows.. althought i just tested all M's in an recent event yesterday they were very nice ofc M4 felt very more responsive and more powerful than my 335i with all its mods. anyways back to the topic.. I'd still choose Mppk to be safe and if am not going to do further mods to the car.

CATTED downpipe. So sick of people half-assing things around here. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Cars have cats for a reason.

Stuff like that really gets to me. All I hear about on this board is people cutting things off. Those parts have a purpose. I don't care if they get removed, but they need to be replaced by parts that serve the same purpose, less restrictively.

Do you know if the CG Precision VS-1 has cats on it anywhere? I couldn't seem to find any on in the pictures, and I would rather have a product that has them than without ones (even though in Lebanon no one cares one single bit about anything from sound levels to emissions)

Haha I'm gunning for the 911's too, How's the AFE filter running? I'm also thinking of getting it now (before I completely mod my car)
