I ordered my car and then a few days later I remembered the M Sport brakes were supposed to be an option so I called my sales advisor and asked about having them added to my order. She said she knew about the option and was fairly sure they cost somewhere around $650 and said she would check and email me back.

I just realized she never emailed me back so I may be wrong about them being available, I'll call tomorrow and let you guys know what happened.

(NEW) M Sport Brakes - from August 2012 production
BMW Canada is pleased to announce the addition of the optional M Sport Brakes (2NH), available exlusively with the M Sport Package on the 335i Sedan models. This performance kit offers oversize brakes (front and rear) for increased performance as well as brake callipers painted in blue with M badge, adding to the sporty design elements of the M Sport Package.

Retail Price: $350
Front:
  • 4-piston aluminum fixed-calliper brake 18", lightweight brake discs with interior ventilation and aluminum brake bowl
  • Brake callipers painted (blue), with M badge
Rear:
  • 2-piston aluminum fixed-calliper brake 18", lightweight brake discs with interior ventilation and aluminum brake bowl
  • Brake callipers painted (blue), with M badge
Thanks for posting that, I ordered them not really knowing the full spec. Nice to see the rear rotors are also a 2 piece set.

The info I got was just larger discs, two piece items up front and a 4 piston caliper set for the front. 2NH £570.

In the UK this option is only available to M Sport models, not an option on any other line.

Kingston is location...AFAIK that's in Canada.

When I ordered the brakes were not an option for US cars. I suspect this is still the case.

If you'd be so kind to come down to Texas I'll happily take those brakes off your hands

You might want to update you location. No one knows where "Kingston" is (I mean I do because I'm from Toronto), but I actually thought you were from Jamaica too. "Kingston" isn't like "New York", "London" ... stand alone city name is confusing lol

Just might help the other readers...

I found if farily hard to believe that you had the M Sport brake option added in the US ... as no one on here from the US has been successful to getting it. Might want to make sure you're sure next time (as I'm sure you likely created a lot of hope for others.. only to take it away a day later).

I think your CA is mistaken, to date no one has been able to add the blue M Sport brakes in the US -- most likely she is thinking of the MSRP for the M Performance rear rotors ($605) as part of the M Performance brake kit under the port installed accessory program. (see attached image)

You can buy the parts and put it together yourself. But it'll cost a hell of a lot more.

Part number and approx. prices:

Front:
Left Caliper - 34116799469 $580
Right Caliper - 34116799470 $580
Rotors - 34106797606 (x2) $240 ea.

Rear:
Left Caliper - 34216799461 $450
Right Caliper - 34216799462 $450
Rotors - 34206797607 (x2) $150 ea.

Total Cost (assuming calipers come loaded) : $2,840

These are the M Sport brakes, not the M Performance brakes. Hardly worth it in my opinion!

You guys are not really looking at the cost of an upgrade during build vs. swapping and replacing. The $350 is the incremental cost over the stock brakes (which are actually a few upgraded & painted parts). Replacing one setup means you are purchasing an entirely new brake setup (ie buying 2 sets of brakes).

Exactly. But I'd be willing to bet there's zero margin in that $350. That's stupid cheap.
