Much better than previous model which was too understated. Wide arches look great. I would black out the aluminium grille inserts and it will look perfect.

Edit: What the hell is that QUATTRO lettering on front grille. That's tacky.

Also it's funny that it looks a lot more aggressive than RS4.

Love the front end and wheels. What are the specs on the engine? 5400RPM redline? I assume that moves up upon warmup like the M's?

Normally, not a fan of Audi(s), but I am sold this time. Quite unfortunately, this may never reach NA market.

For sure, I was thinking the same thing, black out all the aluminum bits.

Shit, this ride would look sinister if it was completely blacked out!

Reas the specs....has a conventional 8 speed torque convertor auto like the new S8. Hmmm....I think the DSG can't handle the torque on these monster of an engine but camonnnn Auddiiiiii

This.

Love the wheels as well. Like the new design as those older RS rims were there on everything. Breath of freshness

I thought it would have DSG too but after watching reviews of last RS6 the auto worked quite well anyway. This thing has crazy amount of torque. More than Aventador, MP4-12C, M5/M6, previous model (V10 TT). It's a monster.

I really don't understand what Audi is doing. Many sports car enthusiasts who would buy this car have a real moral objection to putting a car into "D" to make it move. Aaaaaand back into the arms of BMW... If BMW is their target, why are they building a Mercedes? This car would be on the top of my dream car list but the lack of a third pedal means immediate disqualification. Sad.

Audi never has, and frankly, never will equip the RS 6 with a manual transmission. It's a station wagon / estate car. Sports car enthusiasts would surely be looking towards more focused options anyway to satisfy their need to row the gears. I can see this car being more appropriate for getting groceries as quickly as possible.

Enough with the wagon only RS6. Grow some balls, and bring it to the US in sedan form and compete with the rest of the world.

Eh... I still don't get it. I can't be alone in saying that I would love to buy this car but will not drive an automatic. Most people don't have a 3rd, more focused car to take out when they want to drive a manual. They want to have a practical use car with a naughty streak. Case in point: B7 S4 Avants are going for upwards of $30k with a manual trans. Clearly someone wants it and I'm on that list.

Looks great. I wouldn't buy this car with a manual and doubt many others would either.

As for not having DSG, the ZF 8-speed is awesome at everything. It's not losing anything by using the regular auto.

Have you driven the pig of a B7 S4? It goes together with a manual about as well as an Escalade would. That lame V8 hung out over the front axle isn't exactly endearing either. There's a reason they've replaced that chassis and the motor with better things.

While Audi is getting better at the whole balance and fun thing, this isn't the car I'd be crying for a manual for. It's also deep into the six figures, so saying that folks won't have a second or third car with this is highly unlikely.

I'm all for manuals, always had one and always will, but some cars just don't belong with them. This is one of them.

Oh, and those calling for a sedan, really? The wagon looks great.
