428i got caught with flood waters

Houston got hit with heavy rain early Monday morning. 430 am on my way to work i was carefully driving on (i would say) close to a foot of water till this big truck speed pass by me pushing more water into my lane. Long story short my baby sucked in water pretty bad. My car didn't want to start after that.

Got it towed and a day later the mechanic called me saying my car would need a new engine and the turbo need to be clean out of water.

Luckily i have a new car replacement program in my policy if the car is a totaled.

My question is, First, What are the chances of the insurance people just total the car and move on?? Second. If they do totaled it & replace it would it matter if i special ordered my car??? Will have the same exact option i have there?? Will they special order me a new one?? or just get a car from a local dealership with same year??

I haven't even done her first oil change

All of your questions will be answered by your insurance agent, none of us can tell you.
