Unless Lexus put some FI into their engines, then no. They are slow as hell, too sharp angled in an overly aggressive way, and if you are over the age of 18 you have no business driving one (unless you are a woman).

Wanabe? Wish it would works both ways
Yah...I've had serval BMW (e34, e39, e60, F10) and for the most part the Japanese mfrs do not have a 5 series wanabe yet. But in the 3 series market, seems like there are a few viable choices (Acura, Infinity, Lexus) but they're usually trumped when BMW drops their M bomb.
I'm talking about daily drivers here, not track cars or street racers. But I just wish BMW would "wanabe" a little more Japanese in terms of first year model bugs and long term reliability. |

Lexus has definitely upped the game in the handling department. Look at the reviews for the GS vs the 5er.
That said the German cars feel more solid going into years 4+. I find the Lexus cars start to feel very used after year 3. |

You know, asking this on a BMW forum is not going to get you very far I'm afraid. But if you can stomach the looks then why not? It's good to know what's out there in your price range.

I like the shape of the 2013 is more then the 2014 that was shown... dislike the new grille. But i did look at the lexus is350 fsport but ended up with the f30 due to the size of the back seat on the is. its is CRAMP!!!! Plus mom wanted the f30... said it was sportier looking haha.
