Just a quick photo update to show the 6WB in the F30

Still some minor details to take care of, such as painting the white trim areas that are exposed, but overall looks good!

Yep, you are almost done. Tell me, you could save the reset millage button? On my 6WA, the little buton from left side of the cluster had to be taken out. Did you try to cut a little in the midle up of the f30 case? So it will go a little down and your white spot will disapear? As for the left and right side, I think it will be better if you make an sample of case from 6WB original face, and then try to mode the f30 case after that sample.
How is the rest? Navi indication are displayed corectly? Please make a little video how it looks like, and how it is looking when you change eco/ comfort/ sport

Haven't actually taken it out on the road yet, trying to finish the coding changes first before I road test it, so I haven't had a chance to try out the navigation directions yet. And no, the mileage reset button had to be modified so that I could keep the "button" and not have a hole there, but it is non-functional at this point.

Switching between modes works fine, except that with 6WB, it keeps showing me an option for "Comfort+", which isn't normally available on the F30. When moving up and down the list, it skips over it and goes to Eco Pro, but I am trying to figure out how to get it out of the list completely.

Once all is resolved, I will try to make a video of it in action.

You can't get it out totally. If coded with 0911 or earlier, it should be Normal & Comfort and beginning 1211, it changed to Comfort & Comfort +.

But you can play with menu settings. On my F10 6 WA I managed to add ECO pro, I don't understand why, but coded with 0313 doesn't added eco pro, and I had to add it manually.
I still have problems with navigation arrows, maybe someone will help me with files from an 6WA F10 cluster and NBT, to compare with mine, or maybe I have to upgrade kombi firmware, maybe it is too old, and my NBT has 2.54 .

And finaly I can be proud with my F10 6WA cluster on my F30. It is working 99.99% , the only thing that doesn't work is handbrake warning when handbrake is pulled up. After an firmware update , made with the help of an member of the forum, now arrows are like they should be and everything is working fine. Tomorow I will add pictures.

I really love this mod. Looks so much better than the normal cluster. How much is this cluster?

I can tell an exact amount of money, you will need an F10 6wa cluster and an F30 face for cluster. You will need to add most conection to cluster. You can search parts on ebay or other places.

Update: Got my 6WB working perfectly! (almost, still have to figure out 1 minor issue with CBS).

Navigation, Fuel, everything works great, can't thank everyone on the forum enough for their help.

Pics are below, you can see that with some black paint on the edges, the cluster looks quite a bit better in the F30 housing. Sorry the pics aren't perfect

Actually it's exactly the same as following Larry's instructions, and just mirroring fuel coding to match the F30 6WA coding. There are a couple other adapter pieces that are needed, but those are on the part #'s page for the 6WB on RealOEM.

You would need to contact Larry about that part, he should be able to point you in the right direction.

Just as an update to my last remaining issue with the CBS, it has been resolved. Somehow during the installation, the Break In Inspection(a.k.a. Running In Check, the new vehicle inspection period for certain BMW's) was triggered in the 6WB, so it kept saying I had service due in 1200 miles(decreasing as I drove of course). I was having trouble with removing it or finding information about it, but once I updated my Rheingold, it had the option to deactivate the check in the CBS Reset options. Now it is cleared, and running great!

Nice to hear that, and I'm glad you did it. A little question, your button for reset little milage is working?

Nope, I didn't worry about it since I never use trip mileage anyway. If I ever need to reset CBS I can get to the button or use rheingold.

Take the cluster out of the dash while still plugged in and use a screwdriver to press it

Like I said, it could be done if needed, but since I never used that reset button in my F30, I doubt I'll need to use it.
