SAT vs. Regular AT, N20 vs. N26, Stock 4GC vs. Tuned 328

My car is in for a service and checking a restraint MIL. They gave me a poverty-spec 428XI GC with the SAT. The throttle response feels much more direct than mine, and as a result the car feels quick. OTOH, my car feels like there's really no response from the first 25% of throttle travel and even then responses seem delayed (in comfort). I ran the loaner car on 89 OCT as well.
Any thoughts?

My car:
2014 328XI (11/13 production) Sportline
Non-SAT
BMS Stage 1 Tuned, AA Exhaust, Injen CAI, ER CP
N26 SULEV, 93 OCTANE 100% of the time.

Loaner:
2015 428XI GC Base
SAT
N20

Could it be the SAT improves throttle response? Newer Calibration/throttle mapping?

I coded SAT on my car some time ago and it does make a big difference. Even in comfort mode I find the drivetrain to be more responsive.

After the engine, the second thing that makes the car is the transmission.

Highly agree, I am getting it coded ASAP. Just seems so much more responsive.

I am wondering if the SAT affects throttle mapping too - I kept the car in 3rd to 5th gears and did a couple of pulls and the car seemed to pull strongly and linearly.

So I got my car back, my car accelerates quicker/harder than the 428 loaner, but there's still a bit of an non-linear response - perhaps due to the SAT, perhaps due to the mods increasing boost threshold.

I have to say the 428 shape looks good. With the m-sport kit and lower suspension/wheels, it may just be my next replacement. It would be cool if BMW ever made an M4 GC.

I would like an M2 GC. I would be all over that in a heartbeat.

Garage List
^+1. Love the GC lines. Wonder how they'd go about naming it since there is an M4...or would they just move the name over? Hmm....

Well, I've also experienced non-linearity in throttle position in Comfort mode. I've got a 2014 with the SAT.

Guess I need to schedule service...it's annoying. In my case, they replaced the tranny mechatronix a couple months ago due to weird delays when up-shifting. After that work, the decel/delay between gears is gone, but still have the throttle delay when pulling away from a stop (but only in Comfort). Seems like very little throttle is applied for first little bit of pedal travel.

Thus the continued love / hate relationship with this Bimmer.
