F31 Owners - tell me your thoughts on your wagon

Just ordered my F31 M Sport (us 328i) with more options than I can afford because I'm a sucker for bells and whistles.

Excited for it to come in in January.

So tell me - what do you like, dislike?

Share your pictures, videos!

I've got the Performance Exhaust coming - anyone else have this? Share videos!

I just got mine yesterday after ordering and waiting about 7 weeks, and I am really impressed with it. Will post details and pics soon. The first thing that surprised me: the "tossability" of the chassis. It quite simply doesn't feel like a wagon.

BTW: wouldn't it be cool if there was an F31 sub-forum on here?

Congrats! The BMW wagon is the only one that I like. MSport will be excellent.

"Tossability" - I assume you're referring to how well it handles despite being a wagon?

The reviews I've read have said the same - the CNET guy said the way it drives, you wouldn't know it's not the standard sport sedan BMW is so revered for.

I've ALWAYS wanted a beemer wagon, every since I first saw the e30 wagon when I was a kid.

The only way I'd be more stoked would be if it were a 335i!

Post pix!! lol

Yes, the handling jkoertge. Very lithe for it's size and weight. Plenty of thrust, too. With a mild tune it would be tremendous. Mine is also M-Sport. Premium, Technology, HK stereo, heated seats, Comfort Access, Driver Assistance. Here's the only fair pic I have thus far.

The front looks kind of high...are your shipping blocks still in?

I'm not sure exactly what you mean. I presume that's something I should know about? I'm new here, and new to BMW.

Removable plastic blocks are put into the springs for ocean shipping. Dealer is supposed to remove them. Sometimes they're overlooked. they're easy to see if you look under the car. YOu don't want them in there.

Very nice indeed!

Congrats on yours!

What do you think about the driver assistance? I got that, but opted out of the plus with parking assist and adaptive cruise control.

Just wasn't ready for that much help from a computer.

Thanks, will check. That photo was taken with the car on a slope, btw. But nevertheless, I'll see what's going on in there in the morning.

Completely essential. It's really important, because the rear visibility isn't spectacular. Nor do I want to be grinding wheel edges and spoilers or bumping into trash cans, because I'm not necessarily a maestro at parking. Nice to get some help.

Got mine in Sept, It's an amazing machine, I took it for a spin with 4 guys in it and it still felt unbelievable, the
Guys In the car all owned M3 and M5's but they were very impressed with the chassis - mines a 328xi 6Sp.
In the hands of these guys it actually proved to be a very capable chassis, am sure it's even quicker in the hands of a pro and on a race circuit.....

I hear that! I got the assistance package and added the side/top view cameras. Couldn't resist the coolness that'll come with it.

Should have got the parking assist, I guess! Living at the beach, I'm really never in a position where I'm parking in anything other than a parking spot, my garage at the office or at home.

That's awesome.

It's something I've been anxious about coming out of the 335i. I've been thoroughly enjoying the gobs of power it has.

Anyone else come off a 335i into a 328i? Thoughts on the transition?

I was one of the first to get it, ordered May 12 and got it mid october. +1 year later and Im loving it even more

Ordered mine without the rails for extra clean look, the F31 is without a doubt one of the best looking wagons out there (M Sport of course).

Dang! Super nice! Didn't know you could order without the rails, wonder if they can be removed.

Love the wheels and the color! I ordered red, always wanted a red bmw, but the ones in silver I've seen are giving me color envy.

Yes definitely. Not sure it's the bees knees, but I'm starting to dive into it.

Thanks

They can be removed alright, but it's a PITA I hear. Gotta rip the lining to gain access to the screws or whatever and then change the roof parts on the outside (cause u cant drive around with four big gaps!) etc..

And btw, red will look hotta than a motha fu***!!

Edit: About the rail delete, I can tell you that if I didnīt have the panoramic moonrof I would have ordered it with the rails cause it would/could look awkard/empty somehow with nothing up there to break up that big flat unicolored surface. So give it one extra thought before you decide
