Do they look oem?

It really gives the touch to the car. I will try to print it (well friend will) in one piece and see how it goes.

Since the F32 panels are not as straight, I've gotta set made of flexible TPU coming in the mail. Will post pics when they arrive.

COuld you please send me edited file? My 3D printing guy do not want to edit original file, so he wants to print in sections.

Thanx!

ooshnoo Is your set the multiple pieces or are you going to do one long piece?

Are you also going to install the piece on the rear armrests for the other light strips?

The printer i'm working with can only print pieces at that 15.25" in length, so the rear seats will fit fine, as the light bars there are about 16", but for the fronts I'm going to have to use 2 pieces.

It's only gonna cost me $43, so if I'm not in love with it, it's not much lost. I should have them sometime next week and will post pics.

I'm pleased with this look, although I am planning on glueing them together to get rid of the gaps!

Very nice, how do you like the look at night?

Yes the one piece is the ideal look, but it seems harder to get them done in that size.

I’m clearly confused.

As the F30 door trim already has the lighting strip, what’s the big deal of putting another cover over the lights?

The reason is you can barely see the LED strip, I seriously didn't even notice it was there till I looked for it and have had the car over 6 months.

This piece kinds works as a reflector and makes the light way more visible

Anything you put over the light will only cut down on the lumens, not magnify them.

I would speculate that the plastic cover itself is illuminated, which is why you can see it better, but that is because the plastic is mounted below the trim strip on the door panel, which in turn gives the double line people do not like, judging from the above comments.

The issue about the lines is the fact that the actual trim is separated in 3 pieces.

That's how the original 3D file was created, if you look closely you will see a line between the pieces.

This has been corrected with a new file. I guess we have to wait for them to come in and see the feedback.

Overall I happy with the look of it. Just need to have one solid picks across the door.

This is a 50$ project, trial and error.

I suggest watching the video on page on to get a better idea of the project.

Please forgive my ignorance as I'm not well versed with 3d printing companies, are you guys just using local printing companies? I've never heard of print shops that do 3d printing. I guess I'm behind lol
