Any follow manual's recommended fuel?

Manual says BMW recommends BP fuels? Does anyone follow this? Does BMW have some sort of sponsor agreement w/ BP or is BP really the best for the F30 engines?

I know that from at least 2005 BMW has been recommending Top Tier gas. That's when we purchased our first bimmer. Changing to BP as their recommended fuel makes me think it's a $$$ thing. BP must be making a donation to BMW for each car built with a BP recommendation in the glove box. I'll continue to use Top Tier gasses, mostly Shell and Exon which are common in my area.

It's obviously a marketing ploy. Just buy quality gas and you'll be fine.

Don't see Costco gas in the group, anyone have info on Costco gas? Also interesting is that BP gas is not on the list of retailers either.
