No Individual Leather in U.S.

Hi all, so i'm getting down to the final build for my 435i GC to be picked up ED in June and today I find out that there is a restriction in the U.S. and we can't purchase idividual leather here for the 4 series even though there was a 5/25/14 BMW publication providing that option. Needless to say i'm completely bummed. So i'll be picking up my car with Oyster Dakota interior next to another guy from England or Spain picking up his 4 series with Nutmeg. It makes absolutely no sense. Anyone have any idea of a way to get to someone at BMW that might actually do something about this?? I can get Tanzanite Blue paint, so what's the deal...

Individual leather, sure!...oh wait...you're from the U.S. ....NO SOUP FOR YOU!!!

Have your dealer call the Individual lady. She can approve it. Its gonna cost you like $6,000 though.

$6,000 would be better, then I would at least have the choice of syaing no, instead of them telling me it can't be done in the U.S. I talked to a guy from Sweden that had exactly what I want in terms of color and he paid like $5k total for individual paint and leather...the 535 can be built in the configurator with Individual paint for $1,950 which is exactly what I'm paying for Tanzanite Blue and the individual leather there is $2,500...so i would think it would be the same as well for the 4 series...if they would do it. Thanks for replying! i'm gonna forward your reply to my CA
