100% E85 Tune for JB4?
Is there a 100% e85 tune for the JB4 or is that something thats even possible with the JB4? Would you need to flash it with something like BM3 with a custom e85 tune? Obviously you would need an upgraded LPFP. What else would be needed along with the fuel pump itself to support 100% e85? Bigger lines from pump to engine? FF reader?

I believe you need new fuel lines as well. But PI kit for sure.

That being said, you won't get any benefit from running it with stock turbo

Ethanol has a lower energy density than gasoline meaning your fuel pumps need to move more volume to produce the same power. Even with an upgraded lpfp your hpfp won't be able to keep up, hence the need for PI.

Why would I want to run meth when I can just run e85 and an FMIC? I want to try and squeeze as much power from my car as possible. I have friends that have build all motor Hondas and E46 M3s that run 100% e85.

I really done see why everyone is questioning my reasoning. I know Omar had his 750who n54 on e85 as well as his non turbo e46 M3 on e85.

Well meth has superior cooling than PI.
If you don't live near e85 stations then get Meth.. Fmic is great and needed but the superior cooling in meth & higher octane is even better. Meth kit standalone or for those with jb4 is still cheaper than the fuel it PI kit. Although now there's some competitors selling much cheaper than Fuelit. PTF has tested 100% e85 but car gets worse MPG, the happy medium is e50, half 91/93 & half e85. Best of both worlds. Unless you have a 25gsl tank lol no point in running 100% e85 if you going daily the csr. But still you can do it if u want to.

To answer your question you need PI, and maybe a stage 2 lpfp. I'd get the lpfp because they're so much cheaper now and then you won't have any problems. The HPFP can't keep up with the fueling demands of the required higher volume of e85 even with a stock turbo, the PI supplements that, and also keeps your intake valves clean The only real downside is once temps get below 55, it's hard as hell to start the car, but I live in Houston so it's not that much of a problem. Really all it takes is some fine tuning of a flash tune and it can mitigate most of that problem (which I'm still working on with Ricardo from ACF)
