Wow! I'm always impressed with the stance of the M Perf suspension.
I'm very happy with my car which is currently on the H&R Sport Springs and I now feel the M Perf Suspension is almost the same in terms of the drop... Does anyone agree with me? I don't want to slam my car but the springs I currently have; has brought my car as low as I would like it to be. I'm just afraid the M Perf. suspension might bring the car slightly higher for my taste but the picture above doesn't show that. I'm confused yet again...

It really depends on how long you want to go. I wanted to be able to daily drive, H&R was too low for me...

I think you're the best person for a review since I'm also using the same springs you had previously. The look with the springs is simply awesome! There's no doubt about that! However you are correct that's it's not as comfortable as it should be. I'm only trying to think what my best option would be. Coilovers or M Perf Suspension? I love shivas explanation regarding warranty and therefore want to keep everything OEM, hence I'm seriously considering the M Suspension. However I'm not sure if I'm satisfied with the drop or not. Anyway I've subscribed to this thread as I'm looking forward to a review from you!

My opinion so far with M Performance Suspension:
Quote:
- Much stiffer then my M-Sport Suspension. - Little to no body role, laterally or when accelerating or breaking. - Suspension feels firm and tight with a well-balanced compression and rebound. - Feels like it always grips the road even on bumps and transitions. - Confidence inspiring in corners and straight lines at faster speeds. - Quicker lane changing. - You feel more connected to the car and road. - Acceptable drop for everyday driving and spirited driving. Negatives: - Wish it were a few (5-10mm) lower. - Stiffness will create more creeks and noises in your car. - Get rid of your hard run flats to bring some comfort back. |

I finally have a smile back (80%) when driving my car vs my previous e90. I just got my car back from the dealer after they installed the M Performance suspension. I would like to add to the list above: Positives 1) The steering feels so much better. Almost as if it tighten up with the newer suspension setup. 2)I finally feel confident in predicting the behavior of the car/suspension. Negatives 1) The car has a slight bounce to it, which was a little unexpected vs the sports package suspension from e90 and f30. Note that my car is a luxry line and the base suspension felt like a sailboat in the middle of the atlantic ocean. I went from to in my facial expresion while driving. |

I was looking at my car today (admiring the drop) and am curious how much lower the car will go after the springs settle. It seems that the tires are flush or just tucked into the wheel well. I guess, spacers would not be a good idea.
Here are some quick pics: |

My opinion: H&R Sports felt maybe 15% stiffer then M Sport with less body roll. For the 335i (N55 engine), the front springs and/or shock mix felt a bit soft to me creating a bit of a bounce effect in front end. I also felt the front was to low and I actually scrapped my lower bumper twice. I feel high speed performance decreased but it sure did look good. M Performance Suspension feels like 25-30% stiffer than M Sport. Very little body roll and feels tight and balanced. Car is planted and grabs the road, especially in turns. Increase in high speed performance and handling over M Sport Suspension and H&R Sports. I'm currently running OEM 403 19" rims with Run-flat tires and the road bumps, pothole covers, cracks, and road joints are definitely felt. I wouldn't say its harsh but definitely felt. I believe much of it is do to the hard sidewalls of run-flats. I'm getting non-runflats soon and I hear this makes a huge difference in comfort. Overall i'm happy with the M Performance suspension over the dull and floaty M Sport Suspension. H&R's were good for price and look but I wanted more from my car especially at higher speeds and in handling. I would like to hear opinions from others that also have the M Performance Suspension.

Really tempted to get the m perf suspension, but not sure how much my local phoenix dealers will charge for the install. Also worried that my car anyway has too many squeaks and rattles even with the base suspension.

Bare with me as I whore out http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=811010 .
Anyone been able to install on a 328? I'm hoping to get a DE event in this summer and would like to get this installed first. It seems the springs are the difference, but I'm not sure what else is unique to the 335. |

Everything seems comparable on realoem. The only exception is the front struts are different on the 335 vs the 328. That seems a little odd IMO. I would think the springs would only be different.
Rears are all the same. Anyone have a P/N for the M Performance strut? |

After deciding the H&R Sport Springs + Stock Susp isn't the greatest, I've got the BMW Performance Suspension being installed into my lux next week. My quote is 2600 for parts (M Performance suspension: front and rear shocks, front and rear sway bars, front and rear springs, and hardware) and 1800 for labor. My parts guy here at the Seattle, WA dealership said I'm the first person to have this installed there... we'll see how it goes.
