You don't need to add an excessive fence, shrub, or other expensive option. Just line your driveway with some rocks about the height of a curb. Maybe a little taller.

Take a picture of your driveway and we can mark it up Madden style.

Are they cruising across the lawn and onto your driveway because they otherwise would have to drive off the curb? Maybe they could make some makeshift ramps so they could drive directly on and off the curb on their side, and not have to use your driveway, maybe?

You want to see some black dudes?

I'd hire some cheap labor to put some heavy rocks.

Larger rocks - at least 12" in height

If you're worried about being obvious, you can decorate to also line the grass along the street.

I kinda had the same problem with my neighbors. They would park their cars in front of my house all the time for no reason. Their driveways and garage would be empty. I decided to put my trash can on my curb for a couple days. It worked. They got the hint.

Your neighbors obviously aren't too worried about pissing you off and ruining relations with you, so why are you worried about pissing them off? They KNOW you don't like what they are doing but I can guarantee they will keep doing it if you don't take action. OP, don't let them keep walking all over you.
Like others have said, some nice rocks or a picket fence would do the trick. If you want to go covert Op's on them then "landscape" your side of the grass with 3 inch carpentry nails studded into the turf.

damn they sound like assholes. but yeah definitely put an obstacle there and they should get the point. If they aren't willing to respect you after you've been so patient and have gotten the point across you're not happy about it, then being on good terms with them isn't worth it and probably wont benefit you later anyways... just cut ties and tell em straight up to use their own damn lawn to cut across or straight up call them out for being lazy and tell them to move their fucking cars.

I vote for the fence. You need an obstacle, and it sounds like you probably don't even want to see them. But the rock is probably cheaper/easier.

I disagree with people saying "Get mad and get in their face! Don't be a pussy!" because that never ends well. They'll retaliate and it will be this back-and-forth mess. Ever see Lakeview Terrace?

I think the biggest question now is - Why haven't you installed an obstacle already?

Just put a cup of grape drink in-between, and they won't run that over.

Or I just thought about this one, plant watermelon in-between. This way they won't cut across, and they won't get mad at you ethier, as they now have watermelon. This solves both of your problems, no driving across and no angry neighbors.

They sound like assholes, but they might just be stupid. The OP was saying the guy wanted to hang out and wouldn't take the hint to leave the garage, so that sounds more like a case of stupid to me.

The point of dealing with this politely isn't so much so they can be friends, but to avoid retaliation. My dad is "that guy" who jumps straight to angry confrentations and retaliation and it never ends well.

How about bringing the rocks, and knock on the door to ask for a couple of guys to give you a hand, and get them to place the rocks with you? They'll get the hint AND be too lazy to undo their own work.

this would work.....as it somewhat resembles a job....in which they wouldn't want...causing them to flee the area. problem solved.
