Sorry to bring back this old thread but what is the verdict on unplugging maf sensor.. I've been having hiccup issue after installing ps2 and nothing seem to solve it.. Last night while installing the new pure one piece inlet I forgot to plug the maf back in and car seem to run much better..

People have talked about unplugging the MAF sensor with a jb4 piggyback. But what about guys with Bootmod3 or MHD? Has anyone unplugged the MAF with just a flash tune?

why does the car have both then? jw

The air mass information is necessary for the engine control unit (ECU) to balance and deliver the correct fuel mass to the engine. Will unplugging this sensor have any impact if that's the case?
Im wondering if mine has the same issue since mine shakes a lot too

Go back to stock intake and see if you still have the problem. You can also try cleaning your MAF, especially if you ran an oiled filter.

For those running on unplugged maf sensors, do you wrap the connector to avoid dirt/dust coming in from driving around? If so, what did you use?
