Just added one of these to my order of parts from getBMWParts.
It's not on the catalog, but as long as you have the PN, you can order it. Also looked under the hood of my car and I found the mounting point. Here's the same part on a 2015 F30

Does anyone know the part number for the silver-ish torx screw used to secure this cover to the car?
I'm having a hard time finding it. Its not on any of the diagrams and the local dealer has no clue either.

Hmm that does look nice. Do you have an automatic F30? With the different wiring location of the manual cars I wonder if they're easier to fit.

But it's just get the target (screw in the hole) and just push it, everything will take its place. |

Cover is #7 - 12528620771
I don't know if this is the hardware to secure it: #3 - Expanding nut (L=15MM, DMAX=12) 07146976114 #4 - Hex bolt (TS5X17 SW8 D=16) 07149126885 A hex bolt is shown, not a Torx screw as mentioned above by fea30boy. My car does use #s 3 & 4 to connect the black bracket (#2) in the front as shown in the diagram, as well as in the back under a small black rubber cover (shown in capt_slow's first photo in post 25). Our 10/2012 328i xDrive does not appear to have the small hole circled in red, unless that is where the bolt & expanding nut are installed. http://bmwfans.info/parts-catalog/F3...dule#8620771_7
