LED DRL coding?

Hi, bought and installed LED bulbs for the DRL.

I was updating my NAV today and turned off the DRL in iDrive and noticed that due to error checking, it would blink on and off every few minutes. Is there coding to change the regular bulb DRL to LED DRL or to delay the error checking such as for the LED FOG and corner lamps?

It can be coded. It stops the car from sending the voltage check to to bulbs.

Can you tell me what needs to be coded? I have the coding settings for the corner and the Fog, but haven't seen one for the DRLs. Thanks.

2blu,

Understand that you can code DRL for LED; there are three items in FEM_BODY to code:
  • XXX_X_KALTUEBERWACHNUNG -> nicht_aktiv
  • XXX_X_WARMUEBERWACHNUNG -> nicht_aktiv
  • XXX_X_IS_LED -> aktiv

What is the "prefix" (the first three XXX) for DRLs when you replace with LEDs -- I can not figure that out?

Thanks

I resolved it awhile back. Looking at my cheatsheets, I think it was FEMBODY 3061
TFL_L and TFL_R for the 3 setting above.

I should have added one point; I have Halogen lights so I do not have "Angel eyes" DRL, but rather regular PW24W bulb.

So TFL will work for these -- as the name implies?
Again, thanks!

Yes, I don't have the angel eyes either on my car.

Great -- that even what the name means! Someone told me that it was POL (the parking lights), but in our case I think that is for the little H6W bulb tucked in the upper corner of the high beam slot.

Again, thanks!
