Basically, it would seem unlikely that the F8x cars get any type of "body style" change. |

It'll be 2015/2016 when these LCIs roll out...
No way they won't have LEDs. The last Toyota Camry had LEDs. Nissan Sentra as LEDs. Hyundai Elantra has standard LEDs. Shame on BMW if they use bulbs... |

The E92M only got its taillights updated with the LCI too.

Huh, this time around LCI is just new bumper lines and possibly lights elements.
Looks like the major change will be the price increase. Not for me. Thanks

I think this this thread is highlighting possible cosmetic alterations to accommodate a new drive train, as was mentioned, as opposed to the LCI changes. Possibly larger apertures for cooling, redirected airflow, etc.
Since the new M3/M4 have substantial changes to their front ends, the LCI upgrades will more than likely be limited to the rear of the car. LCI upgrades typically only affect panels and trim that are easily replaced, such as front/rear bumpers, lenses, various interior trim pieces, switches, etc. However to say there will be no LCI enhancements made to either the M cars or standard cars is somewhat far fetched. However subtle, there WILL be modifications made to the rear bumper, valence, and tail lights on the standard LCI cars. Their M counterparts will then follow suit. There is absolutely no chance that BMW will retain identical exterior design details for its largest selling model, for its entire product cycle; period. Not in today's hyper-competitive marketplace. However subtle, however minor, there WILL be cosmetic enhancements to both the standard and M cars as a result of an LCI. |

Even my 2003 e46 M3 had full LED rears. I don't get it!!! When I was forced to order my 435i because the lease on my e92 M3 was up, I couldn't believe that 11yrs later I'd be getting a BMW without full LED rears!!

Honestly if they go changing the drivetrains, front, rear, wheels, LED lights and all that stuff, they may as well just slap a new badge on it and sell it as an entirely different series with the way BMW has been doing things lately. I really don't see the f30 LCI design changing by that much. But this is what forums are for. We speculate about shit ... And stuff. And spread rumors. Yeah. Forums. Heck yeah! |

Another possibility, that I didn't see while skimming is that the LCI taillights are EXACTLY the same shape as the Pre-LCI. Plug and Play replacement LED's, no need to test them for 18 months, or really at all. Hope they have LED headlights as an option too, they might as well. Toyota Corolla's have standard LED headlamps. If I were in the market for a new BMW that offered them, I would demand them at no cost, if they are on all Toyota Corolla's, why are they not on every BMW as standard equipment?

The E90 was like a one-off. Previous BMW's didn't get huge changes for the LCI but for some reason the E90 got one, taillight, headlight and pretty big change to the front bumper. I didn't and don't expect BMW to have such huge changes again for a LCI.

I think that is because the E90 had that awful chrome lip above the kidney grills
The tail lights also didn't not form the L shape. It was correcting design deficiencies. |

If laser headlights are coming to 7 series there are no possible excuses not to offer optional led headlights throughout the entire BMW range, people are clearly happy to pay for them. Even the base Seat Leon has LED headlights now in the UK as part of an offer. |
