Owner and Head of Sales & Marketing of Alpina, Andreas Bovensiepen, introduces and explains the new Alpina B3 and XD3 models in these first videos of Alpina's two newest models.

The Alpina B3 is based on the F30 335i sedan and the XD3 on the X3 xDrive35d SAV, each recently making a showing at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.

The Alpina B3 bi-turbo features 410hp, which propels the B3 sedan from 0-62mph in 4.2 sec (4.0 sec for xDrive model) and the B3 touring in 4.3 sec (4.1 sec for xDrive model). It consumes only 7.9 l/100km (29.8 MPG U.S.).

The Alpina XD3 boasts 350hp and covers 0-62mph in just 4.9 seconds.

Those are some seriously impressive power figures. Especially with that low of fuel consumption. I'm assuming this is an extensively reworked N55 in the B3 right?

I would be happy to take either car. But the Alpina XD3 really appeals to me.

The Alpina Blue and Alpina Green are their trademark colors. Alpina Tradition. Just as the stripes are.

When you buy an Alpina... its made to order. Like a taylored suit. Alpina will build your car in any color you want. Its all up to you.

Great car - no doubt! Not really a fan of the Alpina wheels - a little too yesterday. I also never cared for their pinstriping. I know this is a trademark of Alpina but I feel it makes their cars look a little dated. Alpina's engineering is absolutely top drawer and shows what a great platform the 3 series is.

The electronic gauge on the B3 nice it shows boost, EGT, pressures (oil for sure, perhaps fuel and wideband as well?). Super cool . Else, one can go either the 3D (needles) or P3 (electronic)

Alpina is a great addition to the current BMW line up and is very exclusive too.

Yeah the Alpina B3 TCU flash allows for improved mpg and quicker shifting in sport and manual mode, in addition to rev matching while downshifting
