40% rebate on limited slip

Bmw selling the m performance limited slip with a 40% rebate 1000 bucks back. I jump at this and curious if anyone else is purchasing any discounted/rebates items this weekend. Also has anyone installed the m limited slip and how has their experience with it has been.

Love it on mine, really should have come like it from the factory but I guess these days there's lots of people who probably benefit from the 'safety' of an open diff.

Darn... only for the 340i/440i. I would probably jump on this if they had the 40% rebate for the 435i...

Why wouldn't it? ECS shots part number 33108659989 as being interchangeable with xDrive.

RWD and xDrive use different rear axles, at least for model year 2016. This is per the Dealer who took mine apart and tried to install the M Performance LSD in my '16 340xi. Really sucked to drop car off for M Performance LSD and MPPSK installation and only leave with the MPPSK.

Has anyone dealt with the rebate offers before? Like 1000 bux is a lot of money and the whole not responsible for lost or misdirected offers is not confidence inspiring.

You could just order it from another vendor who knocks 500 bux off and doesn't require 1-3 months to ship a visa card. 500 additional USD is enough to consider it though.

I was wondering this also. The online vendors typically dont charge tax so for me thats a $750 savings. Warranty is critical for so I wasnt sure about ordering from an online vendor and having the dealer install and then question any warranty claims.

If you want an LSD for your xDrive, have a look at Quaife.
They are in the UK but they also have it available in the US.

I had it installed in my RWD. Best tune in my opinion.

Thanks for the tip and I have shopped them. They currently are not listing an LSD for 340 xDrive automatics but do have one for RWD. They do offer them for 335 xDrive's so maybe soon for 340xi. I'm not sure I can do an aftermarket mod just yet, I bought my 340 and have warranty concerns so I'll probably hold off on this for now.

Just got it install and with the mppsk the car just spring it action with no hesitation. It quite remarkable but I notice the traction control light comes on more often with the limited then it did with the open.

I did this rebate online and they gave a email confirmation back immediately.

Just got mine installed. It feels much better around corners and to your point, no hesitation. Maybe a placebo but to me the car feels better and less jittery even accelerating in a straight line so not just a cornering benefit. So far I'm really happy with the upgrade but need more hours on it to fully put it through the paces.
