2015 price action
Hey guys, I'd like to see what kind of deals people are getting these days. Right now I'm negotiating a 2015 335 M Sport with an MSRP of $57,900 and I got the dealer down to $53,500 (I think invoice is $53,265) I'm thinking this is a pretty good deal considering the 15's just started production.

lol are you serious? do you really think the dealer is only going to make $250 on a 50k+ car.... invoice, sticker price, msrp whatever you want to call it is just a label with a suggested price, it is not what they actually paid for the car.

I have no doubt they are making money, I know that usually get an extra 2-3% kick back from BMW. The point is, what's the lowest they will go on a early production 2015.

If you are at 53k out the door for a 2015, then I should definitely be able to get a 2014 335 m sport they have for 52k out the door, at my local dealer.

12% markup on a 3 series? hasn't been that way in years. More like 7-8% depending on model and options.

It's a starting point, plus, 2015s are rolling off assembly lines and dealers need to get rid of 2014s, I had a 2014 negotiated down to 10.4% off MSRP but ended up building one to my specs.

I think you are including incentives.

Does anyone know if there are going to be any incentives on the 2015s soon? I'm in the process of negotiating to order one and the dealer says I'll get any new incentives that come out before I take delivery. I wouldn't imagine there will be any by September? He insists there usually is and I think its BS.
Also, if I negotiate to $X over invoice, should that be before the MACO and training fee (i.e. should I be paying invoice + $X + MACO/Training)? Thanks - new to BMW and buying a new car as have lived in NYC most of my life. |

I ordered my 2015 335i and it is landing in USA within a week. MSRP was 56.2k and I got 53k out the door (including VA taxes+fees). I believe its about 10% off MSRP with incentives (before taxes and fees).

You take the MSRP and multiply it by .93 to get to invoice.
OP, the deal seems pretty solid. There are no major changes from 2014 to 2015 so I'm not surprised you got such a deal, it's fairly common. Dealers usually don't make much money off most new car sales, their cash cow is service and parts. |
