2014 335 GT Performance Mods

The reason for this post is to sure with others what I have found out regarding after market performance mods for subject car.

I will address the warranty issue first. This is the statment that came directly from my local BMW service manager (who is also a good friend and fellow drag racer) Installing any aftermarket modifications either software or hardware, that are not BMW approved are done at the owners risk. He did not say everything would void the warranty but that it is evaluated on a case by case basis - To each his own I guess.

Altho I am new to the world of performance mods for bmw not the process since I own a GT/CS 2013 Mustang 5.0 and thru hardward and software have added about 80rwhp and 70 ft lbs of torque from stock'

So here is what I have determined (do not take this as gospel and if you have better information please post.

1. BMW really understated the HP on the 2014(had the car dyno) and left a lot that can be done to get some major increase in both torque and HP at the rear wheels.

2 I talked with over a dozen makers of tunes and hardware as well as professional dyno turners - As of today the only tune that has really been tested is the MPPK -and if you are reading this you already know the gains from that - good tune but for me does not get anywhere near where I want to go for 1/4 racing. All the other tuners say there is work in progress on getting out new software but due to some changes one being the electronic wastegate and some other mods none of them deliver the full potential that was delivered by previous tunes for the 335. So being cautious I will wait and see who comes up with what - I am sure you all are aware of the various cost and pros and cons of each tune. As for hardware I know new charge pipes and downpipes are being tested as well as intercoolers etc

In closing I really love the 335 GT - great car with excellent stock performance - now lets get it into the 12.5 Bracket

comments and input are encouraged

I think there are quite a few running around 12.5.

At least one has run 11.9x a few months back, rocking E85 and meth.

on a 2014? With the issue mentioned above, I've read on here people have not been able to get boost over 11-12psi with 2014's yet.

Ahh good point. I think it was a 2012 or 2013. Do all 2014s have the electronic boost solenoid?
