Eibach spacers fitted to F30 LCI

Hi All

Just thought I'd post a few pictures as I fitted Eibach spacers (12mm front & 15mm rear) to my car. I wasn't sure at first when I first fitted them but once the suspension settled I liked the look, slightly more aggressive stance and the wheels fill the arches nicely. I've got no plans to lower my car etc and think I'm more or less done now with a few subtle mods. I'm mindful of not trying to make the car something it's not as it's only a 318d but I'm perfectly happy with it's performance etc, not a huge engine but my car sits idle for the best part of 6-months a year so anything much bigger seems a bit of a waste, especially when you factor in petrol engine road fund costs etc. So far I have:

1. Had full paint correction and ceramic seal including painting the hubs and calipers, glass treatment and wheels sealed.
2. Fitted gloss black MP rear diffuser
3. Conversion of single pea shooter to twin MP tailpipe
4. Fitted 8.8" idrive screen and pro-nav idrive controller
5. Fitted gloss black kidney grilles

Cheers

Thanks very much, am really happy with the car. I got the spacers through Lorcan (Rossiters), you can PM him through the forum.

Thanks, no I've not had alignment checked, is that something I should be thinking about?

Very nice mate. How did you replace your exhaust tip? Was it just the tip or did you have to replace the silencer as well?

They do exaggerate any alignment settings, so worth checking before finding out you've worn a strip off your tyres.

Thanks very much for the heads up NISFAN, will get it booked in for checking, would be a shame to ruin tyres for aesthetic reasons! Daft question but I take it both fronts and rears need checking?

Thanks mate. I replaced the exhaust tip with BMW part 18302296889. At first BMW couldn't tell me if it was compatible with my 318d but I took a gamble and bought it anyway. Back box stays fitted and you just cut tailpipe off it, approx 50mm from where it exits back box. Guy who fitted it said the twin pipe was only fractionally bigger than the exhaust stub so it took some fitting, a specialist exhaust centre would probably fabricate a adapter. Was worth getting it fitted though, it really finishes off the back end and looks good with the MP diffuser

Thanks very much, I'm really pleased with it.

I rang Lorcan direct at Rossiters, had the spacers within a few days.

Gonna follow NISFAN's advice and get car booked in for alignment checks so I don't end up with any adverse tyre wear

Looks great, definitely spacers next for me, although if the alignment is required, I should have done it at the same time as my springs, as had hunter alignment done then....
Doh....

Thanks mate, nah I'm gonna leave well alone now to be fair, as I mentioned at the start of the post, I'm conscious about not trying to make the car look like something it's not as it's only a 318d, am happy with the way it looks. Am only really looking at keeping it for about 2 years then a seriously considering a 4 series or stick with a 3 but with a bigger engine and a no compromise approach to the spec and colour I want

Yeah spacers really do change the look of the car, it sits so much nicer.............will be in for alignment this week. Will also get headlight alignment/aim checked at the same time, unfortunately my car came with halogens (albeit the LCI version with built in DRL's) and despite changing to Osram Night Breaker Lasers, the lights just seem to aim too low, don't want to dazzle anyone but it would be good to see a bit further than 40ft in front!!

Looks really good mate! Subtle mods, but they make a big difference!

I've got 12/15mm spacers to put on mine, was going to wait for the springs to go on and then get the alignment done.. but seeing yours fitted on the standard set up, I might just stick them on!

Good stuff, same here really. But probs have to keep the car for 203 years.

I have a 320d but its been remapped, but yeah same as you once moved out I plan to have a no nonsense approach on a 340i/M3 with everything I want.

Just a waiting game.

Thanks for the info. Did you also replace your diffuser? I really want to replace my ridiculous looking pea-shooter exhaust too.
