This is great news, as I read elsewhere that you need the power seats to be able to adjust the sides...

I don't know if the sport seats work differently in the EURO market, but for the US market the side bolsters are adjustable and powered.
YES, the bladders in the sides can be fully deflated.
Compared to the sport seats in my E46 325i and my former 135i, the F30 sport seats are WIDER when fully deflated, especially compared to my 135i, which also had power adjustable side bolsters, my 325i didn't have adjustable side bolsters. Interestingly, in the 135i when fully deflated the sides felt narrower/tighter compared to the E46 sport seats.

You'll LOVE the new sport seats if you liked the previous iterations of BMW sport seats, these new seats are better.

Game chairs are more physiological, or better flexible to your body system.
They confirm very relaxed on long visits. In European countries they're marketed as an optionally available for cca.

The sport seats are great. Surprisingly the sport seats in our f30 are even more comfortable than the ones in my e90. I feel as though I am almost sitting on air while still being firmly kept in place around the curves.

For what it's worth, I agree. I am a bit over 6'3" and am 215lbs and I love the sport seats. I had them on my '07 E90 and drove 14 hours straight, across the prairies stopping only once for gas. They were fantastic!

I did find, however, that the sport seats in my F30 seemed to be a bit stiff initially, but they are now just superb.

I definitely preferred the sport seats to the non-sport in the E90, having driven a couple of loaner 328's with standard seats when my car was serviced. Having said that, the standard seats are certainly not bad in any way, but I like to feel as though I am sitting in the seat, not on it, if that makes sense.

I have not experienced the standard F30 seats, so cannot offer comment.

Really comes down to personal preference and perception of "tight". I love sport seats and yet I am half a foot taller and 60 lbs heavier than some here who find sport seats too snug.

To each their own. That is why we have options

Seats that hug your body are the best, no matter what drive!

Had an '11 E92 that happened to come with sport seats. Now they're a must have.

For what it's worth I'm 6'2" 190lbs and found both seats about equal in comfort. You really have to try all the seat & steering wheel combinations to see what matters to you.

My E92 had regular seats and my F30 has sport seats. Aesthetically, the sport seats are no brainer; they are beautiful and hug your body. However, on a long drive I can't seem to tell a difference. To me they are both very comfortable (just make sure the sport seats are adjusted perfectly to your body otherwise they start to feel uncomfortable an hour in). If I were you I'd ask my dealer to do an extended test drive on a car with each seat and come to your own conclusion.

Good luck!

Bigger guys/gals might find the sport seats a bit restrictive. However the standard seats are the worst in the pack: worse than A4 and C Class. They offer the least side support, especially for the bottom which is flat like the Dead Sea.
