I got a Y-cable with mine when it was re-delivered. They put it in with the manual in the glove box.

If you get the cable seems to depend on your dealer. I didn't get one, ordered a cheap one on amazon.

Figured I'd update here, my car was one of those affected by the production issue. You can read the details of what happened a few pages back, but long story short, BMW NA stepped in and combined with a pretty nice offer from the dealer, I've reordered. Added the HIDs and HK Audio, deal is about $6k below sticker price, which makes the extra wait worth it to me.

Happy that BMW and I can still be friends!

Nice. Looks like everyone is getting a different but satisfactory resolution.

How much below invoice are you paying? You can configure your car at http://www.bmwconfig.com/ to figure out invoice price.

Nice deal! Before this snafu, I was getting the car at Invoice.

The re-order is $800 below invoice, plus $800 for rental car reimbursement while I wait. So, a total of $1600 in benefits. Decent I think.

Are you awaiting delibery? This issue is limited to a few 2013's built in August.

Go to http://bmwvin.com/, put in your VIN and look for following packages:

S6NLA (with technology package)

S6NHA (without technology package)

Without the USB port in the center console, is there any other way to conenct iPod, iPhone to iDrive system?

AUX input works, but it seems so archaic on a MY 2013 car.

I've seen the BT speaker kit that clips onto the visor as a workout for BT, but anything for iPod connectivity short of retrofitting the entire missing component?

If your car is missing it, it will be denoted on the window sticker, along with a -$750 credit. Says something like "Bluetooth and USB removal -$750".
