Ok, so who's over the

drive away automatic front seatbelt tensioners?

Always gets me. It's now annoying and my wife also hates it. I know it's supposed to take up slack in the belt, but it is supposed to do that in preparation for a collision. I understand it in such a situation, but in driving away, I'm not convinced.

Thoughts please.

Don't mind it either. I actually like the feeling of being strapped in to my driving position. First time passengers are often taken aback though. I have to explain to them the car is not trying to kill them.

Scared the crap out of me the first few times. At first I thought someone got into the back seat of my car and tugged at my seat belt. Now I'm kinda used to it.

I don't mind it but the wife hates it. Ive only had the car 4 days nd am pretty used to the tensioner now. ..... and I love driving it

BTW...Dealer told me that the DAB radio tuner( ordered but not installed) cant be retrofitted so they are refunding that option amount .

Wow, that's a major lapse in the QA process... was it ordered and they forgot to install at manufacture or was it not ordered at all by the dealer here? I'd have to say, I'd be a little disappointed at them for letting that fall through...

ROFL I dont remember it being that bad on my E90 320. I wonder if it because I wasn't doing much city driving then. Then I thought hmmm it still doesnt look that bad on the f10 528. I can't figure it out. Unless I'm driving abit more aggresively.

Do you think the brakedust will be even worse with the M perf brakes?

I'm ok with the tensioners. I have a running "Dad joke" with first time passengers asking if they felt it, when they answer "yes" I tell that's good, it means the car likes them

Does not worry me, if anything it is a subtle and comforting reminder of the safety technology in the car... plus something to giggle on with new passengers.
