Coding to disable TPMS

Has anyone successfully coded an F30 to not display the dash warning light and message in the instrument panel display when there are no TPMS in the tires?

why not just install TPMS? They're required by law now and just smart to have

I think you're right that new cars sold are required to have them, but that doesn't mean every car on the road is required to. I could just buy a set of TPMS, you're right. But, they do add about $225 to the price of a set of tires, and I don't mind checking the pressure manually. The warning lights and such would get annoying though.

I was in the same boat, but now I kind of wish I could have the peace of mind. Anyways, I get that annoying warning too and would like to figure out a way around it. I'm sure you can do it through coding...

What exactly does it do if you won't have the TPMS in there?

I know if I get a low tire, it will put on the warning light, show a message on the instrument panel display (preventing me from seeing the outside temperature, mileage, and trip odometer that are normally displayed), and it will show a message on the iDrive screen when I first start the car. If it does the same things when there are no TPMS in there, I don't think I want to deal with that for 4 months out of the year.

I really don't care if I get a warning triangle in my face for a couple of months and a start up screen message.

The reason I hate it is because after I turn on the car and start backing up it takes a few seconds then it pops up, blocking my view of the rear view camera AS I'M BACKING UP! BMW legal - what the hell?!

That's why I hate it, I could care less about the warning triangle...

When I'm backing out of my garage I use that to make sure there isn't a dog or something sitting behind my car and it always pops up right away so it's just annoying (nearly ran over the neighbor's once...).

What is the tripmeter trick

EDIT: Meant to say neighbor's DOG lol

well warnings could be reset on older beemers by holding down the tripmeter button for 5 seconds or so.

Why? Why wouldnt you just spend $40 a sensor and have it installed in the 1st place when you upgraded your rims and tires, because I assuming you cut corners and didnt have TPMS insalled. And not aware of coding but Im sure it can be done.

2007 or 08 it became a law in the U.S. I believe all cars had co come equipped.

You get the warning light, its the little exclamation point and the triangle come and stay on, and the low tire looking thing stay on. Oh and if you get a flat it wont tell you or a sudden loss of tire pressure...wich if you dont know you have a flat and you continue to drive the vehicle something is wrong with you lol.
