Afternoon all,

Is there anybody or anywhere in the north west (uk) who would be willing to replace 6nh for 6ns for me on f30. I believe this is what I need to add the additional bluetooth and office functions to idrive.

Obviously I'm happy to cough up a few quid.

*EDIT: Nvm, emailed him again after this post and got his auto-reply. He's traveling as of June 2nd, limited email access.

Thanks!

When you do a Detect CAF for SWE to generate a new CAFD, then select your I-Step from the dialog (first pic), doesn't E-Sys honor that request and use that I-Step? After selecting my I-Step (F020_13_7_506), i took a screenshot of E-SYS immediately afterwards and it shows an earlier I-Step (F020-14-11-502).

Some questions:
- Does E-Sys try to honor your requested I-Step then revert back to something else if it detects that another I-Step is "more correct"
- Or am i just reading E-Sys wrong in the screenshot?

To provide some context, i replaced my original (newer) REM for an older REM that has PDC rear sensor support and was generating a new CAF for it.

The F020-14-11-502 showing in KIS/SVT Target and in Bottom Right of E-Sys only means that you are using F020-14-11-502 (54.1 or 54.2) PSdZData.

This has nothing to do with the CAFD being injected into ECU via Detect CAF for SWE.

Thanks Shawn - i didn't realize that I-step version and PSdZData version nomenclature looks the same.

I'm pretty sure that i messed up something when inserting hardware pins/wiring into the REM when i went to do my PDC sensor retrofit, and i just want to reverse/back out everything to factory equipment just to get to an error-free and clean slate before i plan my next move.

I went back to my old REM (one that does not have the pins to support rear PDC sensors) and sure enough Rheingold no longer detects PDC sensor issues, and the Parking Assistance error on the dash has also gone away. So far so good.

But when i try to generate/code a new CAFD for the original REM by doing a Detect CAF For SWE, why do i still get the old error? The new default CAFD file generates fine after specifying my I-step, however, when i go do the Code of the REM ECU, I still get this error:

Now that my original REM is back in place, the PDC sensor wiring faults have gone away (confirmed in Rheingold) and the dash error has also gone away.

So why does E-Sys still detect an error? Its like E-Sys is not reading the current REM ECU and reading some old state from someplace else. How would i clear out this old error in E-Sys and start with a fresh REM CAFD?

You have a Mapping Problem:

"REM_72_ETHERNET doesn't map to an item"

Are you using E-Sys Launcher, and is it set for Car Series = F30?

Hi.

Some time ago I was coding my F30 and changed languages in CIC/KOMBI. I wanted polish language so I changed
MASTER LANGUAGE => UK (was US)
added
LANGUAGE_4 => polish.

After this coding I lost interactive manual in CIC.
1. is there a way to add polish interactive manual in CIC ?
2. eventually how to activate English manual in CIC dispite that language is set to polish ?
3. also how to activate English voice control ?
