MP3 audio track plays back from beginning

Hi,

I have mp3 podcasts that are 2 hours long that I play back in iDrive via a USB thumb drive. For the most part it works well but I notice that from time to time when I restart the car it will restart playback from 0:00 (beginning of the mp3 file) instead of where it last was. As you can imagine this is very irritating as I always seem to be listening to the same songs at the beginning of the mp3.

Am I doing something wrong? Anyway for iDrive to remember where it was last on the mp3 and start playing from there?

I have the same problem via Bluetooth playback.

I MAY have found solution. I reformated my USB drive to NTFS (was FAT32 before). I did full format, then copied files back to USB drive.

I've been testing it only for 3 days so far, but:

- the drive inicializes faster now
- so far no problems with track playing from the beginning

Let's hope, that it IS the solution.

Update: today the track started again to play from beginning... :-/
