awesome! good news--now comes the hardest part---waiting for it to cross the ocean..atleast you dont have to worry about no freak storm near the U.K which will delay your ship 5 days like it did mine....but...thats all OK cause i got my car on Saturday! I LOVE it!!

There are many factors involved, and it can range between 6 and 12 weeks. One of the major factors is the dealer allocation. My car for example went into production approx 9 days after placing my order, I've seen examples where the car went into production 2 days after placing an order, and other examples where it took 3 weeks!

I got conflicting information about the route (and, hence the time) for U.S. West Coast deliveries. Talked to a representative, who assured all West Coast deliveries from South Africa are sent directly to Port Heuneme (CA), and not via Germany. Anyone in recent experienced it differently? (planning on a vacation by end of December, so this info will be helpful). Thanks in advance!

so if it made it to the ship today it'll be the turandot and it'll arrive in NY 12/04
otherwise it'll be don juan 11/26 wont be here till like 12/11

Mine has been waiting at the port since Wednesday of last week. Still not on a ship yet. I just called today and spoke with a rep too. Same status.

Where did you find info on the Turandot? Wont make me very happy if it didnt get on that ship yesterday.

i guess holiday season is approaching and everyone is buying cars? thats why they're probably backed up lol.

On a positive note, the longer it takes the more $$$ gonna be sitting on my bank since I dont have to pay the bill haha

Come to think of it maybe our cars is carried by another ship and not with W&W since my 5 series was never on the W&W tracking and the next thing i know
my CA called me and the car is ready for pick up....meanwhile i was pulling my hair trying to figure out why on the W&W tracking it said "No records found"

it'll be on WW or KLine only.


theres been many times where the WW site never showed my car, but the car was on it.


lately i've been on just Kline ships--which I prefer as they get to the port here in GA abotu 5-7 days quicker, as they only go to U.K then the U.S ...no other stops in Europe.

I dropped mine off in MUC when I did my ED and it took 7 weeks. I assume Paris will take a little longer due to lower traffic volume to port.
I guess you should have it in 2-3 weeks

11/14 - Arrived in Baltimore
11/22 - Still in Baltimore, undergoing tire inspection (see related thread).

We shall see when it is delivered to my dealer in Milwaukee. I'm hoping to have it before Wednesday this week. When I last spoke with BMW customer service, they indicated it would be at the dealer on 11/27. I'm hoping they build some padding into their estimates and that it will be there earlier. I'm going on a short road trip for Thanksgiving, it would be nice to have the new ride...
