Sad........
Not a good direction for BMWUSA to follow...... This will definitely hurt US sales.... Not everyone wants a Red interior with Sport.... BMW USA..........FAIL.... |

The only places where i see they failed big time was requiring ZPP with xenons, and not offering a staggered wheel setup on the 328.

True, you can get silver trim with black finishers, but you're still stuck with red accents on the seats - which looks stupid. I've always gone with the sport package on my BMWs, but not this time. I really want Mineral Gray with black leather, and sport seats/wheel/etc...and painted mirror caps - what's with the black ones, this isn't a Kia.
Maybe M-sport will allow you to just get black leather seats with no ugly red trim? It seems that the sport line was designed for 16 year olds. What happened to luxury and sport? Now you can only get one or the other.

Yes you can get Black trim on the dash but you still get red seats!!!! Long gone are the days where you could get black/tan interior with ZSP.. Again, sad.... All the more reason to upgrade to a 5er with ZSP and say Ventian beige/Oyster-black interior. Now it seems BMW is either all SPORT or all LUXURY. Nothing in between. |

The options arent great, but it covers most of their customer base...probably cheaper to narrow the options than losing some customers who will probably buy the car anyways. I would have loved the current oyster, my e90 has in the f30 i am ordering, i will have to decide between black dakota and red leather...i really wish there were a lot more pictures of different intrior combinations. Not sure what he high gloss black trim will look like...

Awesome!! Thanks! I really like the black trim, adds a little class. Im guessing otherwise the interior looks identical to the sportline i am going to order except i am not getting nav and prob going with red leather seats. The interior is really growing on me. Thanks again.

does anyone have interior pics without the sport seats? i've been looking at the modern and luxury line interior pics and the seats look very similar to the sport line seats. i'm curious what the base interior looks like.

I love cloth seats (had leather seats once on a Honda Accord and hated them - sticky in summer, cold & hard in winter, PITA to keep up and you slide all over the place when driving enthusiastically). However, as usual, we here in the US can't get screwed - BMWNA is not going to offer cloth as an option. Leatherette is the base or you upgrade to real hides. You want alcatara? Try the M-Sport package. And the xenon debacle seems pretty bad as well. I would not pay $4,000 for them if I didn't want the ZPP stuff.

You can still get the sport auto transmission and suspension as a stand-alone option with the other lines. The only problem is I do not know if the modern line always has a brown dashboard and brown steering wheel.

Sport suspension is available only on Sport Line Seems Modern always has brown dash & steering wheel. See the UK configurator at link below. http://www.bmw.co.uk/bmwuk/ecom4/fra...%3D%3D,00.html |

That interior looks amazing. LOVE IT! If the new 5er is anything to go by, quality has jumped significantly. Can't wait to see it in person!

Too much black...
I donīt know why, but all that black on black reminds me of a japanese car...IMO lighter colors give more contrast and make the dashboard seem less cluttered...but to each one his own, will have to see it live. Cheers.

I think it looks awesome. Looks really clean and sporty. Love the high-gloss black trim with the almunium.
