Over the 14k on the M235i 30mpg very very respectable.

M4 not settled in yet and just running around town and playing so 20 so far LOL.
That's very respectable indeed. Better than I managed out of of the Z4 30i, though that had an older style auto box.

You did 14k in 6 months? That's pretty high... Expecting to do same with M4?

I do similar miles and that's what puts me off an M car for just now unfortunately.

I do like the revs in the HUD.

It is the one item I find misiing from the standard HUD

I agree- on both the improvements from a leather dash and the wanting one bit!

So from what I can see on where the leather dash covers, looks like the only plastic left to see are the lower half of the dash and the centre console?

If I ever ordered another 3 series I would definitely go for the leather dash. Hopefully the LCI will sort the centre console plastics out too.

Maybe you don't have to be as loaded as you think to have an M4 on your driveway:

my mate got a deal on m5 lease for around 600 pm last year thats a 70k car so was hoping as price comes down on m4 there might be possibility of under 600 pm for an M4? Or am I dreaming

M4 leases will definitely come down when BMW start offering some (meaningful) discounts on them.

M5 currently has £8.5k off

I think those kind of low prices (less than 600) for the E9x M3 were not available until the F30 came out so I guess the same thing may happen with the current M3/M4. Might be a long wait and by that point you'd be buying/leasing an old model.

Racked up a speed of XXX tonight without even trying.
Lovely looking motor you have there, I'm a little bit jealous as I'd have loved the 4 but with the extra little person carrying capacity it just wasn't an option

I know what you mean about Jekyll and Hyde. Put the car into the comfort and it's a easy, soft ride but crank up the settings and the beast is awoken. Time this slightly wrong on a bit of a wet surface and it gets a bit fun Have you found the car just wants you to keep pushing on? It is almost willing you to drive it the way the designer wanted it to be driven. I may have inadvertently got ever so slightly the wrong side of the speed limit before even realising it. Only ever so slightly you understand and not enouth to worry any member of any constabulary local or otherwise.

The DCT takes a bit of adjusting to, the foot off the brake and not moving while stopped on a flat road is a bit bizarre at first. Also, you need to keep a bit of momentum when reversing otherwise it just needs the gentlest of touches to get going again and sending you a lot closer to whatever is behind at the time.

The best part is the power, the oh so addictive power. A month into ownership and I still look for excuses to just go for a drive. Enjoy your car and the sheer sense of enjoyment it brings

That's still £955pm over 3 years to have nothing to show for it at the end, that's still serious money in my book.

Erm, 3 years of a grin on your face and a feeling of warmth inside?

If we all thought like you do, we wouldn't have kids either......they make no financial sense whatsoever.

Here we go. Interior, bit of a mare to re-size these so I think they're a little iPhone blurry.

Someone asked how much is covered with Full Leather Interior and its really quite a bit, whole dash is layered and the instrument cowl. The entire door and even the rear panels are full stitched on the inside all the way back to the Hoffmesiter kink.

Sorry for the bad photos in a hurry to get out again this morning. Went to New Brighton today and parked up about 40ft from the sea front. Huge tide and winds meant the car was covered in salt so tomorrow could be first wash time for sure.

Also AS today wasn't peeing it down I actually had the sunroof and windows down having a listen ... yup its just really loud out there too!!

Monday 2nd March 2015 is when I collect my R, that is if it is not delayed. Can't wait to drive a petrol engine again.

Dealer is willing to Revo the car but at an extra cost (double) to cover any problems. 371 bhp, 360 lbft, 0-60 3.7s, 0-100 9.2s.

If you say so! Bless.

Perhaps I will collect on the 2nd March and you can meet up with me at West London VW and have a spin in my R (not you driving it but as a passenger) as my birthday present to you.

Now, am I not a honey to you?
