Called again today: Vehicle is at port awaiting a shipping vessel.
Time to start checking the shipping website to figure out what ship and when it hits my local port.

Here is the shipping information from http://sagaweb.2wglobal.com/AppSchedules/portList.do :
Origin Port______Departure____Destination_______Arrival__ _____Vessel_______Voyage______Days
BREMERHAVEN___07/03/2013__BRUNSWICK, GA___21/03/2013___INTEGRITY___ CB305-ITG___14
BREMERHAVEN___11/03/2013__BRUNSWICK, GA___30/03/2013___COURAGE____ CB303-COG___19
BREMERHAVEN___15/03/2013__BRUNSWICK, GA___02/04/2013___TOLEDO_____CC303-TDO___18

With any luck, I made it onto the Integrity. I really don't want to get on the Courage, since it takes an additional 5 days(reasons unknown), and doesn't arrive until the 30th!

There's a chance my car is on it!

800 number still gives me being transported to port of exit. Integrity takes less time because it bypasses Baltimore and NY area stops. There is another carrier in port also the NYK line. I don't think we can track that one. Oh the suspense...the suspense, haha!

My 335i finished production on 2/21. Been sitting at port since then, 16 days. Waiting sucks! My dealer said 90% of their cars arrive at the Baltimore port. A ship leaves tomorrow from Bremerhaven for Baltimore. If it's not on that boat I am gonna cry! Might have to fly over there and ship it back myself! ;-)

My VIN shows up now on bmwvin.com
Link here: http://www.bmwvin.com/?vin=F476840
Unfortunately, It appears as though my car didn't make it on the integrity, because it does not come up when I try to track it on the wallenius site. Perhaps it is being shipped via another transport company, I have no idea and my salesman doesn't either.

Does anybody know how to tell via the VIN decoding if I have the Extended dash display(User manual, page 71) or the regular display(User manual, page 70)? I have read tons on this, and apparently people still cannot nail down 100% what triggers getting the extended. Some have said that you get it automatically with the premium, some say nav, but others have chimed in with similar configs and they didnt get it. According to the manual, the speed limit detection is displayed in the main area, but since it takes up room, other things must be shifted over to the "extended" part of the display, thus making a need for more room. A description of this can be seen on pages 72 and 73.

I know that if you order NAV (in the USA) you definitely get the extended display. It can be stand alone NAV, or Tech package. Not sure if any other option triggers this feature.

Go to bmwvin.com and look for this option:

S6WAA INSTRUMENTENKOMBI. M. ERW. UMF. Instrument cluster, expanded equipment

Looking at the VIN for your car I think you'll have the base cluster with no extended display.

Still looks like you got a nice build. regardless. only other thing I think you won't have is the:

S6UHA TRAFFIC INFORMATION Traffic Information

Not even sure what that is all about and if it needs some kind of monthly subscription.

And for what it's worth regarding timeframes, Mine finished prod on 2/21 and just got on a boat this weekend (3/9). Supposed to arrive at my US port on 3/20. I called BMW's 800 number and it still says at port waiting to board vessel. But when I put the VIN in Wallenius it does show up when searching cargo ID. Also shows on vessel on my dealers screens.

Mine does too and looks like it is 11 cars younger than yours as my vin is same but ends in 51. I checked with my CA and it is still at port and waiting a boat. If you want to something scary, go to the Marine site ship locator, look at the port on Satellite view and zoom in then pan all around. There must be 50,000 cars waiting transport

Have you heard any news on your car?

It seems mine is still waiting for a ship.

My VIN is between the two, ends in 44. Phone status says "released to carrier, awaiting port of exit". So, is the carrier it refers to the ship (W&W)? Is it just waiting on boat? Doesn't really matter much for me since I won't be heading home for another two months, but the anticipation is still killing me!

I checked, and had my CA check this evening. No update from "at port" With the thousands of cars at the port, this might take awhile. Anybody have an extra xanax, haha!

Fee, yours has been released to the carrier who will transport it to Bremerhaven. It is not yet at the port.

are you just taking your vin and reducing the last few numbers by a couple? I tried that yesterday and none showed up in the tracking system.

On the WW website when doing the track and trace, just use the % as a wildcard...F4768%

LOL! Pally, step away from that Pop-Tart!

It will all be cool when they get here. Maybe we can get Jeff & Fee to meet us half-way and do a road trip to Spartanburg!

So I have done some extensive research into when vehicles have been produced, booked, received, loaded, and arrived. I have looked at about a dozen other cars, with production dates shortly before and a few after my own. VERY few cars in the system end up going to Brunswick, GA. This is where my SA told me my car would go. Interesting.

Additionally, not a single one of the 2013 335i sedans at Fields BMW of Orlando or Winter Park, FL show up in the Wallenius tracking system. Not one. WTF? How is my dealership getting these vehicles? If the ones they have on the lot do not show up in the ships tracking system, then who are they using? If they are using W&W, then why don't any of their lot vehicles show up? Perhaps mine won't show up either....ever. Perhaps it's already on a boat and will just "appear" in the US magically in about two weeks.

EDIT: According to http://www.f30post.com/forums/showpo...82&postcount=2 , The dealership gets their random configuration vehicles from south africa, which would explain why they don't show up on W&W.

WW's tracking system is not very reliable.
Actually many cars did just appear magically in the US without showing up on their website. (they were shipped thru WW though)

but your CA should be able to see the most up-to-date status of your order.
