IDrive Screen Blackout
I've got a 2013 328i and recently when connected to bluetooth and listening to pandora and apple music the screen will black out along with my iphone and then will restart itself in the middle of driving.
The dealership replaced the head unit but as soon as I got down the street it blacked out again. Anyone experience this? |

This happened to me a couple times with my previous car. I contacted my dealer and all they did was reset and update my software and it never happened again.

I took my car in for having the Idrive screen shut down, go black for about 20 seconds and reboot. Dealer couldn't figure it out, reset the Idrive. So far it happened against a few times, but not as often as before, its more annoying than anything in a 50k car.

This happened to me too and my dealer upgraded my software during a routine service and it's since only happened once or twice. (And I spend a lot of time in my car....120 miles every day for a couple of hours).
Try an upgrade first before going for a replacement HU.... |

Yep, this just started happening to me over the last few days. Happened twice so far. Guess I have to bring it in. I'm gonna be pissed if I loose all my settings, especially my audio.
