While playing with my new 2014 328i with technology package I was unable to find a way to perform a search through the phone book.

So how one can find a particular phone number in a phone book without painfully slow scrolling?

I assume that the phone book contains more than 10-20 records.

Try the voice control. I say, "Phonebook" then the name.
