Check your car for shipping blocks!
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com The rear blocks are easy to spot and visible just by bending down. They are a white plastic that prevents the shocks from traveling. I am still trying to figure out what the front shipping blocks look like and if they are visible or if they are under the rubber shock protector. |

I get that sh*t happens, but had that been me, that dealer would've been compensating me for their negligence and my time. Ya gotta hold people (dealers) accountable, else it doesn't get properly addressed.

So are you able to take them out yourself?

You could end up with some serious damage now or in the future. Get the dealer to agree that any problems related to thus issue will be warranted for 100,000 miles. |

Geeze I really can't abide people that can't do their jobs right Dealer make ready=peel off the shipping stickers, wreck the front bumper with a license plate bracket, wash the car putting swirls in the paint, put gas in it, stick some crappy dealer badge on the back and take the shipping blocks out How hard is that really |

I took the blocks off myself, did not bring it to the dealer.
There was 2 on each rear wheel and 3 on each front wheel. For anyone that wants to know, they was very easy to take off. Did not even have to remove the wheel. Just jack the car up a little on each side of the wheel your doing and stick a big flat head between the block and twist and it will separate. Car rides so much better... |

I would also be all over the dealer for this. I'd either be going for a replacement vehicle, free extended warranty that covers everything, or a big chunk of $$$.
The jolts sent through your vehicle due to having essentially NO suspension could have already caused some damage. |

They kept my car for a day saying that it needs to prepped. I was very frustrated when I realize they are still on the car. I parked the car in front of service got one advisor check it. He confirmed blocks are still in there. I didn`t leave the key with him and walked into the sales managers office. I told him that "you promised me better experience than the other dealers, kept my car for a day to prep but shipping blocks are in the car, is this how your experience is?" He said it is their stupidity and offered me $500 for this mistake and guranteed me that no damage happened to car. Mistakes can happen of course but this is an important one IMO. I realized they were there because of the reduced handling. DCS was kicking in very frequently. If I was in an accident, would they have taken the responsibility for it? I guess not.

He said and he did. I recieved the check and cashed it already. First he said "we will waive your next months payment" but I purchased the car cash. Then he said "we will pay you $500." I heard him talking to the CA, he said it would come out of service budget since it is their mistake. I post it on forum few weeks after delivery. http://www.f30post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740642
