Have you driven them back to back as keen to get opinion on main differences as I'm still in window to change spec, thanks Derek

The day I drove the F30 with VSS I was driving my GTI and not my F30.
I did find the VSS different. Better? Not really. Just different and a bit interestingly strange. What I did realise is that if you are a serial or even manic paddle shifter, the VSS might be for you.
Me: I leave my car in Comfort or sometimes Eco Pro and let the 8 Speed Auto whisk me fuss-free to my destination.

Yes on a few occasions, if you like a tighter control in the bends and enjoy sharper steering then it's for you.
If you just drive to commute take the family to the shops etc, don't bother, it's for drivers really IMO.

Fortunately, what one does not have, one does not miss.
I suppose you also have electric lumbar support? If you do, do you find it useful?

Saving up for mine. Alternatively, just buy fresh food
