Parkinglot Jerks
Well that didn't take long. Haven't had the car a week yet, and I come out of the gym to this douchebag.

The only legitimate reason to do that, if he had good reason to think the parking lot would fill up then he could be fairly sure YOU wouldn't ding his door.
Unfortunately it seems 99% clear he's a just a douchebag, as you stated. Very annoying. |

If you parked in the far corner and he parked next to you....THEN I'd say he's a jerk. He was probably oblivious to your attempt to park away. And at least he's in the lines. I once had an idiot park her Volvo with two wheels WITHIN my lines I couldn't even get to my door and had to hop in the passenger side. She's lucky it was my old car.

This lot is about 500 feet from the door of the gym. NOBODY parks there as is obvious from the photo except people with nice cars who want to stay away from the circus of the main parking lots. That lot does NOT fill up. Ever.

Truck is evenly spaced within its lines. From my experience when someone is trying to make a point about irritation with someone else's parking, it's more obvious.
Even now in my old car I park away from the rest of the herd because I hate hunting for spaces, and I usually park next to someone (probably a nice car since they congregate on the fringes) because it's easier to park in the lines with another car as a guide. |

Don't see anything wrong...at least he parked in the middle of the spot. I try to park further away from the crowd, and I always fold up the mirrors

Some people have difficulty parking in an open spot without a car adjacent. Don't know why, but it seems to make some types uncomfortable. I've seen it several times. Immediately after I park way out, somebody will zip right next to me, hop out and go running off. No ill intent, they just like to park next to somebody
Probably the same types that like to latch onto somebody and drive right next to them on the highway and inadvertently form a rolling roadblock. |

Guys LOOK at the rest of the lot. Is he entitled to park there? of course. Is he a douchebag for purposefully parking next to my car where I've obviously made a considerable effort to be away from the rest of the crowd. yeah he fucking is.

I think if you took a picture with an angle towards the destination, you'd get a better response. I'll take your side though, it's like when people don't respect the one empty urinal personal space rule.
+1 always fold mirrors. |

Don't particularly like what he did. Had worse today at lunch. Same size truck but with a wide loading platform on the bed and he parked on an angle towards my car. Amazingly no ding from his door.

I ALWAYS get this and it's ALWAYS a big truck.. It doesn't bother me at all, I just wonder what they are thinking? Do they want to park by my car cause it's purddy? Do they not want a ding on their huge muddy truck, thinking I will be more cautious? I take it back, it kind of does irritate me because sometimes I want to walk back to my car and stare at it from a multitude of angles/distances, but can't because there is a big truck blocking it

What can you do its like our cars have a gravity field that just attracts other cars...i get this same situation as you allll the time. |

I don't understand the parking entitlement. He didn't park poorly and you clearly have enough room. I don't get how this guy is the jerk. If your car wasn't damaged then there is no problem.
Instead I see a guy who thinks him and his car is somehow so special that other people should just know not to park near him. Maybe you should set out some cones next to your car to give other drivers the heads up not to park near you. It's probably just me, but I don't really see the big deal. Don't get me wrong, I park far away all the time. But I'm not ranting on a forum every time someone else does too, without damaging my car. |

Seriously guys, obviously we know anyone is entitled to park there. But the question is WHY? There's so much space everywhere else.
That's one of the things I'll never understand from mankind. dL |

He is a troll but he is a nice troll. Perfect parking.. no way the door could reach your car and he probably wanted to protect his car and knew that you would do anything to it.
