3% Finance Offer for New 3-Series Sedan

I got an unsolicited letter from BMW Australia/BMW Financial Services today. The letter offers "an exclusive loyalty bonus on the all new BMW 3 Series Sedan. [...] the offer includes an exclusive 3% interest rate (comparison rate), our lowest ever offered, and is only available to a select few". It goes on to say that it's only available on new vehicles ordered and delivered before 31 December 2012.

Anyway I thought I'd put it out there to see how exclusive it is. I suspect it's being sent to existing 3-series customers who may be in the market for a new F30 (I ordered my E90 in 2009, but have never used BMW Financial Services). I also suspect that after the current 360 Event offer expires, the 3% finance (or similar) offer may be made publicly available.

WOW... That's a sweet deal.. I could potentially even just put 10k down and make more money of investments..Too bad I will probably need to wait a while till I even think of switching cars. I'm loving the 328. Thanks for the info.

Yeah I got one too. I don't know why they think I am going to get a new car only 4 months after taking delivery. I don't have my current finance with them and I still got the exclusive offer...

From BMW finance I think. The letter was addressed to me slightly differently from any other BMW mail I get, from the dealer or Bmw aust as though the address used was from a diff database. It was sent to me at home but my employer's former name was in the address.

My letter is jointly signed by BMW Group Aus and BMW Financial Services from HO in Victoria (not from my dealer).

Thanks for the info as it's highly relevant for me. I might ask about it when I visit some dealers tomorrow.

CKau: Also definitely ask for the 360 offer and check if your company is partnered with them for the corporate programme.

I just checked my mail and funny thing I didn't receive any such letter..wtf

They said that it was only for existing customers of BMW finance.

Darn!

There's also a $350 processing fee. Would be cheaper for me to use my line of credit.

It's not only for existing customers of BMW finance... I didn't finance my current car, and got a call from BMW (the guy who sold me the car) yesterday, to tell me about the offer, and that I was qualifying...

They seem desperate to get rid of the models built/delivered before the end of december... They probably produced too many cars, and they want to get rid of them...

Looks like a nice offer though.

Hi guys I am new to 3 series forum.

I have just taken up their 3% interest offer to upgrade from an X1 sdrive 20d to a 328i. Taking delivery tonight of a Sapphire Black Metallic, Coral Red Leather and Aluminium trim.

Got the letter Thursday, went to dealership Sat, picking up the car Wednesday - so really happy.

Hi I am new here and was just looking before locking in a purchase of a new 328i when I saw this thread. This is my first BMW so don't expect to receive the offer. I do have corporate pricing and will likely want a custom order so the current 360 promotion is really useless for me.
The question is should I delay ordering to see if the deal is extended to all comers or do you think that this is unlikely? I was already thinking about delaying to make sure I get the new pro nav so it seems like I am going to have to wait a bit longer still.

It's just a hunch, but I think they'll have to offer something like this sooner or later given what the competition is offering:
- Audi have driveaway price LESS an amount equal to GST on their 'A' models ( =8-9% saving depending on stamp duty & LCT payable).
- Lexus have 2.9% finance across their range

But don't delay based on a hunch. Try to use the info (eg. tell them a friend has been offered the deal) as well as the Audi/Lexus deals as leverage to see if they'll extend the 3% offer to you.

Hi Rozza,
If you've got all the options u have in mind you can try getting your dealer to check if current stock has a match. You might get lucky at get the 3% and 360 offer.

I'm thinking that perhaps the initial 'must have brand new now' custom orders would be well and truly fulfilled, although the custom orders won't stop. Then there had to be a number of demonstrators and additional floor stock in case people wanted a relatively basic car fast.

All I was told recently is that 335i cars in Australia are not moving, probably because the 328i is so good.

I mean, who would order a BMW F30 328i and then have to wait 7 months for delivery. Crazy, I say!!!!

Fwiw i am not buying thru a company and i got the 360 4 yr servicing deal on a custom order to b delivered feb. Just bargain hard. U can always walk and deal w someone else.

I would use the brand cross shop as a last resort. Besides an A4 quattro w adaptive might actually be liveable.

Caveat tho... I think the VAG group are j3rks when it comes to warranty and fixes.

4 years? The 360 means 3 years/60,000kms free scheduled servicing.
How did you manage 4 years?

The deal I got was:

3 year servicing courtesy of the 360 deal
4 year warranty/roadside assist
4 year full circle

I would love to know CKau managed 4 year free service.
