Headrest tilt unlock button missing

So I noticed that the driver's side headrest on my new used car is missing the button that unlocks the forward tilt. The plastic button on the left side that you push in is missing and it's just a hole. First and foremost, can/how can I untilt it? I tried pushing random areas inside the hole with my finger and a screwdriver, but no dice. Secondly, can I buy just the button? I can't find that part, only the entire headrest. I also considered just swapping headrests with the passenger side, but it won't come out completely.

I have this problem repeatedly. The buttons on mine pop out randomly. I usually find the button and spring on the floor or under the seat. They can easily be put back in but mine pop out again. Haven't addressed with BMW yet, will at my next service.

Yep. You cannot order just the button! Close to $400 for a new headrest. Hopefully you can find the button.

Car went for service and I cannot find the button or the spring. Trying to look for alternatives on the net.

Thanks etinifni.

Thanks etinifni.
I didn't find any alternatives because of my seat color. There are plenty of black Dakota headrests for sale used online though.
