There used to be a drag strip somewhere near Dickinson years ago; not sure if it's still around or is now a subdivision. There is a private track in the metro area somewhere, but it's a road course and as far as I know, there's no 1/4-mile facility.

Houston Motorsports Park has a drag strip, but I don't know if they open it up to the public or not. Bandimere drag strip (think Mile High Nationals), here in Colorado, have days where the general public can come out and run what they have. Maybe they do something similar at the Houston Motorsports Park.
