Did you remove the coating before applying the spoiler? I'd like to eventually put a paint coating (thinking CQuartz for now) on my car as well but not sure if I should install my spoiler before or after applying the coating. I don't know if it'll eventually lose adhesion if installed over a coating.

I would install the spoiler now before the coating. That way when they do the coating, they will cover the spoiler as well! I had opticoat on my last 328i and did the same. |

New Pics
Got a chance to mount the 437 wheels on today. Also plasti-dipped the emblem last week. Here are some shots I took this morning:

This:
http://www.amazon.com/3M-Adhesion-Pr.../dp/B004TGJU2A The OEM spoiler already has adhesive tape on the underside already. The adhesion promoter will make the bond stronger. My brother also used some 3m painters tape to make sure that the spoiler was symmetrical and even on the trunk |

Those are nice shots and all, and I don't want to be a KJ, but you should stay off those tracks. It's not original, too many people get hurt, and it's not worth perpetuating the trend that is, frankly, cliche. No professional photographers should be shooting on active tracks without a permit and closures and spotters, let alone amateurs. Sorry, again I don't want to be a buzzkill, but too many needless deaths because some photographer thought the tracks were "cool". They are not cool, they're kinda boring, and they are definitely not worth it.

Every single time a train has killed or injured someone who was on or near the tracks, it was a surprise to them too. Glad nothing happened; be safe!

Wash with a decontamination soap such as Chem Guys Citrus wash (using a high concentration). You don't want to use this soap on every wash as it strips all of the waxes, etc.
Then buy a clay bar kit and clay the whole car. After the clay, apply a layer of Klasse All in One. Klasse AIO is a cleaner wax which will prep the surface. Then apply at least 2 coats of Klasse Super Glaze Sealant, waiting at least 12 hours between coats. That should cover your car for the next year or two |
