4 series squeaking sound by top of window
There has been a lot discussion regarding the squeaking noise in 3 series caused by the rubber seals rubbing against the car frame. The fix is to apply some teflon or similar type tape. In my 4 series (frameless door), I also have some squeaking at my rear, passenger door from what sounds like the top part of the window. Since the door is frameless, the window is pressing up against the seal. I've tried using the tape but I still have a constant squeaking sound.
Anyone else have this problem? Any fix?

Just applied Gummi pflege and the squeak is still there! I am at a total lose on how to fix this. To me it seems like its the seal compressing and sticking against itself. When it releases due to flexing or movement of the door/window, the seal releases and causes the sound I am hearing. Anyone else with a 4 series have this problem too?

I had same issue and completely fixed it with Gummi plege.
Just ensure you get all the door and body door jambs (all the way around) AND the extra seal on the door that touches the body above the door jamb. |
